New Bern man charged with meth, heroin possession Deputies with the Craven County Sheriff's Office arrested a New Bern man on Saturday after they obtained a search warrant due to multiple citizen complaints. The search warrant was listed for 120 Oakley Drive, just off of Old Cherry Point Road in James City. Deputies along with the Sheriff’s Office Special Investigative Bureau and a Sheriff’s Office K-9 Deputy were searching the house when K-9 Nibbles alerted them to the presence of drugs in the home. Continuing the search, deputies recovered heroin, methamphetamine, illegal prescription medications and drug paraphernalia, according to a news release.
