In a statement, the company also noted that its Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) power plant contract with China Machinery Engineering Corp (CMEC) are nearing completion. The company has received approval to conduct further work on an optimised transmission integration solution. This addition is expected to reduce project costs, it noted. “We believe the project is in a very strong position despite frustrating delays to the completion of the tariff negotiations,” said chief executive Hanno Pengilly. “We look forward to providing further updates in due course."
