A man is facing nine charges after he allegedly failed to stop after a crash at Cessnock yesterday. Shortly after 3pm, emergency services were called to the intersection of Cooper and King Streets, following reports a Holden Rodeo and a motorcycle had collided. The rider had taken off before officers from the Hunter Valley Police District arrived. The Holden driver, a 43-year-old woman, was uninjured. Soon after, police responded to reports an injured man had attended a business on Vincent Street, seeking assistance for head injuries. The man left prior to police getting there. Officers eventually tracked down and arrested a 26-year-old man at a nearby home on Cumberland Street.
