No media source currently available 0:00 0:00:56 0:00 The leader of Navalny's team in the city of Perm, Sergei Ukhov, told RFE/RL on April 7 that the head of the Alliance of Doctors' branch in the Perm Oblast, Artyom Boriskin, and his press secretary, Valeria Merkulova, who were detained along with Vasilyeva and others, remain in custody on a charge of violating the law regulating gatherings near penitentiaries. Ukhov added that Boriskin and Merkulova will remain in custody until a court decides on their pretrial restrictions. President Vladimir Putin's most prominent critic is currently incarcerated in what is known as one of Russia’s toughest penitentiaries, Correctional Colony No. 2 in Pokrov, about 100 kilometers east of Moscow.
