The chairman, who was represented by the Federal Commissioner representing North Central of NAHCON, Hajia Halimah Jubril, noted that the scheme was primarily designed to make pilgrimage affordable for Muslims. She, however, called on clerics and relevant stakeholders to key into the programme for the benefits of the ummah across the country. The chairman, according to a statement by the spokesperson of the board, Mrs. Jumoke Jimoh, appreciated the state government for supporting the scheme. The Secretary to the Kwara State Government, Professor Mammah Saba Jubril, who was represented by Barrister Sabitiyu Kikelomo Grillo, said the scheme if well managed would increase the number of pilgrims in the state.
