Friday, February 26, 2021 - 1:03 pm Investment plans for new technology for five St. Lawrence County school districts have been approved under the the state’s Smart Schools program. According to a press release from the governor’s office, the four plans are among 78 plans approved from school districts statewide which total $59.9 million. Presumably, the plans are to be funded through the state’s $2 billion Smart Schools Bond Act. The local schools with approved plans include: • Gouverneur Central School, $334,886 total plan cost, of which $331,200 will be used for classroom technology and $3,686 for non-public schools programs; • Heuvelton Central, $195,371 total cost which will go classroom technology upgrades;
