DONNELLSON, Iowa (WGEM) -- The northbound lane of US Highway 218/27 northeast of Donnellson, Iowa, was reopened Thursday night after being closed much of the day due to a multi-vehicle crash, according to the Lee County Sheriff's Office.
Two Iowa State Patrol crash reports state that several vehicles were involved in two separate crashes around 3:45 p.m. Thursday.
One report states a semi-tractor trailer was traveling northbound on US 218 near mile marker 24 when its trailer struck the rear of a Dodge Charger being driven by Lee County Sheriff's Deputy Jacob Riley.
