it would be like, the sky, from the netflix show i think you should leave. this is actually a clip that chris hayes played on his show a little while ago in order to dog senator ted cruz for something terrible that senator ted cruz said. i had not seen the clip before chris played it, but i had no stop thinking about it or laughing about it since he played. is everyone okay? yeah come on we promise we won't be made. >> what's? >> we will close our eyes, just take your car and get out of here. >> the guy in the hotdog suit. come on. it's so good. whoever did this. so it's too good to be true, i should have known. here's what i'm talking about. friday night show, i reported on this remarkable sort of who me? guy in the hot dogs moment. from a man named john eastman. by now john eastman's name is becoming a familiar one. he is one of the people who spoke at the rally on january 6th he's the guy in the high, swiftly turned to the crowd at that rally storming violently to the u.s. capitol demanding that mike pence stop the certification of the electoral college votes. mr. eastman and rudy giuliani spoke right before trump did at that rally, what they told the crowd, the two of them, was that the election had been stolen from donald trump. the crowd there that they could stop the steal, that day, january six they could fix it. if only they could get my pence to do the right thing, if only mike pence would evoke some magic authority no one ever knew he had before, to refuse to accept the electoral college votes from a bunch of states. if only pence would do that, that would stop the certification of biden's win, and trump could be president again. that's all they needed to do. and so the crowd marched down to the capitol to get it done. , we would later learned that lawyer, john eastman, was really the guy who invented this concept. mike pence somehow had the power to overturn the election himself, to not accept electoral college votes from certain states if he did not want to. it was his call. he was the ultimate arbiter of whether electoral college votes counted, and he could decide some didn't count. this is a crazy theory that john eastman laid out how any legal memo, it's come to be known as the eastman memo. that's where he used to try and get the trump votes all on the same page for the strategy on january 6th what they were trying to do that day. it's where he tried to do to convince mike pence himself to try and go through this banana strategy to throughout the election results by keeping trump in power. that's where trump eastman was. but then on friday, this past friday, as we reported here on friday night, john eastman was like the eastman memo. the who memo? who me? which of the hotdog shaped car in the building? it definitely wasn't me. on friday, john eastman recanted denied it was him. the conservative magazine the national review published an interview with him which she took it all back. john eastman versus the eastman memo, in two separate phone interviews eastman spoke to a national review for nearly an hour total about the medals he dropped it in his private meeting in the white house on january 4th which president trump vice president chance and pence's chief of staff, eastman now says that eastman memo does not accurately represent eastman's own views or legal advice to pence for trump. the two page memo written by eastman propose that pence rejects certified electoral college votes and then either declare trump the winner or invalidate another votes to send the election to the house of representatives where republicans controlled majority of delegations and they would presumably hand the election to trump. quote, eastman now tells the national review that the strategy of having pence reject electoral votes was not quote viable and it would have been, quote, crazy, to pursue that. yeah who saw that cars that? who drove the hotdog hard into the building? which is shot president lincoln? we better go get that guy, definitely wasn't me? >> the national review asked john eastman about his assertion in his own memo that the vice president's quote the ultimate arbiter of, which electoral votes get counted. eastman wrote to memos, a two page, one and a six page one about pence being the ultimate arbiter is there in black and white in both versions of the memo he wrote. that's language in his own memo. he has stayed in multiple times in multiple versions of this, he now tells the national review about that assertion quo, this is where i disagree. i don't think that's true. he's disagreeing with himself, he says his own memo is not true. and the whole strategy at the heart of the memo he wrote, that trump could have been somehow reelected, or kept in power, if pence had rejected some electoral college votes on january 6th, where do you think about that thing that you wrote mr. eastman? mr. eastman kills the national review quote, anybody who thinks that the viable strategy is crazy. [laughs] why would you believe that, why would you even try, that strategy is crazy. anybody who thinks that's a viable strategy is crazy. anybody who thinks pence had the power to do that, crazy. it's just not true. we would believe that. he's talking about his own work. now, i highlighted that interview by john eastman with a national review here on the show on friday night, basically as a form of good news. never do that maddow. but the reason i said that was good news i hope was clear, at least i hope to make it clear. people do terrible things all-time, people get caught doing their buildings all the time. but if you do a terrible thing, and you get caught doing it, trying to disavow what you did, trying to pretend that wasn't you, that ali shows that the thing you know you did was wrong. it was bad. you are embarrassed to be associated with your bad behavior that you got caught for. you would like to avoid accountability for it at least. in this instance it is one thing to encourage the overthrow of a newly elected democratic government, that is not awesome, that is why john eastman is facing potentially being disbarred now. but once your efforts fail, to do that, and you get caught trying to do that, you gotta couple of options right. you could continue to argue for the coup, you could continue for trying to overthrow the government. oh no it didn't work this time, but that's just because they were the glitch of the wrong guy at the wrong place at the wrong time, it's still a good plan, we were right to shy, but we should keep trying. right? you could do that. or, you can do a series of interviews which what you think is a sympathetic magazine and try and convince them that you don't do the things you said, i need it right the things you said you row, and you don't sound those things now, you don't you're crazy to think that. so i think it is a sign of good news, that john eastman tried to run away from his memo. i took it as a sign of good news when it comes to this ongoing story of the republican party and whether they are going to evolve out of this new role they are in, as the party that no longer believes election results are real or should be respected. when criminals trying professor wasn't, me it's an hour. they are least writing all it's what happened was a crime, and they don't be associated with it. on friday that's where the. to me? i didn't do it that was crazy. don't blame me. i don't even believe that stuff. that's what i thought as a friday because he took it all back in the national review. but it was too good to be true. do you know who lauren windsor is? lauren winter is an activist, a guerrilla journalist, who in recent months has been turning republicans inside out. the new york times actually profiled her a couple weekends ago under this headline, the liberal advocacy who target republicans with a maga masquerade. pretending to be like-minded, she has generated headlines by coaxing statements about their views. lauren windsor has been before january 6th actually published the first evidence that republican senators were going to be part of the spines of get the electoral votes rejected. it's one thing for to happen in the house, it's a much more serious thing constitutionally for it to happen in both the house and the senate, and it was lauren winter who first showed us the evidence that it was going to happen to when she got albino thunder tommy tuberville to admit for the first time and on camera that they were going to reject electoral votes just like the republican members of the house were going to as well. >> are you going to fight to make this election right? >> we're gonna fight hard. >> what are you doing on january six you have some checks up your sleeve. >> [inaudible] you'll see what's coming your gonna read about it in the house. >> we're gonna have to do it in the senate to. lauren windsor got the admission from senator tommy tuberville in the december, and indeed on january 6th he and other republicans in the senate did exactly what he said there. they try to reject the electoral votes are multiple states. her cape of previewing that strategy was the first anybody knew that republicans were gonna do that from the center side as well. more recently she got a republican candidate for governor in virginia glenn youngkin to admit that although yes he was very, very, very, very against abortion rights in virginia and he had plans to act on that if in fact he gets elected he nevertheless plans to keep quiet about his ill views during the campaign, in the hopes that basically people would vote for him without knowing why his plans were. she keeps getting these admissions. and she talks about how she does it when she spoke with the new york times about her methods, she turns up her southern accent a few notches, she waits on the rope line, or whites to get a book signed, which to speak with these people have public events only goes to public events, she then tells them flattering things he wants to hear, she agrees with them. then they have a tendency to confide in her things they would not want the public to know. her name is lauren windsor and tonight miss windsor has just posted video of herself talking to john eastman, she has a shot at the past weekend on saturday that would make this after he supposedly recanted and disavow his whole proposed legal strategy for overthrowing the election results, right, remember this was the strategy to have mike pence or his one the check the poll trump empower. he wrote the memos that created that legal architecture for the whole attack on the capitol on january six to try and get pence to reject the electoral college votes, he then disavow that strategy called it all crazy and non viable in the national review on friday, but then on saturday, the next day, speaking on winningly to laurin windsor turns out he was still saying it could have worked. great strategy. it was a sound legal strategy. if only mike pence would have had the storms to go through with it. watch the statement. >> we're huge supporters who are actually january 6th, we saw your face. >> did i incite you to go down to the capitol in riot? >> you actually incited us. and the work that you're doing is so critical for the democracy thank you very much very kind of you. >> thank you very much. you're >> this not over the target. i mean directly over it. i don't think that's anybody that catches much incoming flak, for the last six months. it's amazing. >> i regimen i thought it was salad, i was floored that mike pence didn't do anything. why didn't he act on it. you gave him the reasoning to do that. >> now that he's in the atlantic two days ago, they're already anticipating trump winning in 2024, and they're using my arguments in that memo. they had no credibility that kamala harris won the electoral votes. i mean come on people. >> everyone is going to say you're being proven right. except for not saying that. that's what they mean. >> exactly. exactly. >> all of your legal reasoning is totally solid. >> i mean like, support a supporter. why do you think mike pence didn't do it? >> because mike pence is at the establishment at the end of the day, all establishment republicans brought into this myopic view that trump was -- what's trump was doing was destroying the inside of the republican party. and reviving the republican party. with they all consider to be deplorable. and this uprising, he didn't create the movement, but he saw it and got ahead of it. they can't tolerate that, they want to nice cushy living. >> they all have nice cushy living, inside the beltway. that's why they don't go along with. it all of my legal reasoning was totally sound. it was correct. it would have worked. this is a way you can overthrow election results. this is a way we could've kept trump in power, except mike pence didn't go through with it. that tape again from laurin windsor at the undercurrent. she's not actually a trump supporter who was there on january six, she said that zone order to draw out john eastman, who wrote the legal strategy behind the whole insurrection effort. trying to draw him out about, that she certainly succeeded. and now, i know that i was wrong. to put any faith in it. wind just last week we saw him disavowing and denying this strategy. disavowing and denying his own work on that. saying that's crazy, it was totally on viable, that wasn't even a real thing. don't describe that to me. i was wrong to say that as some kind of good sign, that it leads the insurrection guys felt bad. and knew it was wrong. he apparently just decided he didn't have the right guy in as vice president, or the whole plan would have worked. should also tell you just so you know, we did back flips, today, trying to contact mr. eastman himself for comment. we tried six different phone numbers we found for, him but no answer any of them. we left multiple voice messages, we did not have any returns. we texted him, some of the phone numbers we had for, him no luck there either. we found people connected to him, and spoke to a couple of people connected to him, one of them told us that they would pass on our message to him. somebody else connected to him actually did give us another phone number, a seventh phone number for him. but we had no look at that number either. it went straight to voicemails. so we left a voice, man we texted him there as well. i'm beginning to think we are not going to hear back from john eastman for comment. fingers crossed. also i will never ever, report anything as apparent good news, ever again. i'm sure i'm the one who's just jinxed all of it. that said, i should tell you that just within the last hour, the washington post has just reported, that the same trump lawyer, john eastman, is expected to be subpoenaed by the january six committee and, congress which is of course investigating the attack on the capitol in the lead up to it. the chairman of that committee, congressman benny thompson of mississippi, told the washington post tonight, quote, it will happen, a scene pena. meaning the trump lawyer john eastman who did plot out a way to overturn the 2020 election for donald trump, who apparently as of this weekend was still saying it would've worked, it was collector legal reasoning. if only mike pence had it been such an establishment squish. meanwhile today in the senate, they held a hearing on just how corrosive these lies about the election have been. in the sake the fake audit they have spawned, in the ongoing delivery spreading of misinformation for republican leaders and conservative media, telling americans not to trust election results anymore. senators testimony today about the real effects these lies of caught on the americans to administer elections at various levels around the country. we've been following this all year long. it's one of the more unnerving developments in our country in the past year since the 2020 election, election administrators being abused, harassed, threatened, vilified. basically hounded out of their jobs, just for doing their job. today the rules committee in the senate, heard from election officials. who laid out in detail the threats they personally have faced this year. here's two of, them arizona state katie hop, she's a democrat. and out schmidt, he's a city commissioner and a member of the -- mr. schmidt is a republican. >> as the lawsuits mounted, so did the threats against me and other election officials. orange jumpsuits were mailed to county supervisors. there are armed protesters outside of my house, i had to have 24-hour security. but what concerns me, more is the near constant harassment, faced by the public servants to administer our elections. nearly every day, they are on the receiving end of abusive phone calls and emails. >> my experience is not unique. my colleagues and staff received threats, nearly one in five election officials, now have threats to their lives as a threat related concern. i am a republican, for doing my job, counting, votes i'd like to quickly share with you, some of the messages sent to me and my family. tell the truth or your three kids will be fatally shot. included our address, including my children's names. included a picture of her home. cops can't help you. heads on spikes, treasonous schmidt's. you betrayed your country. you lied. your trader perhaps cuts in bullets were soon arrive at, that provides my address, names my children. stole the election, we still lives. there are additional threats that my family asked me not to share today, because there are so graphic and disturbing. no matter what our party affiliation, this is not okay. >> this is not okay. republican al schmidt from pennsylvania philadelphia announced at this hearing today, that he himself, will not run for reelection when he is up again in 2023, he described the torrent of threats as quote domestic terrorism. he said the whole point is to terrorize, to intimidate, and to course. and it's not just sort of top level elections officials. elected officials in themselves, in charge of administering elections that have been suffering. the threats and the lies are also we having a mental effect on poll workers. on regular everyday citizens who volunteer their time in effort in order to keep our democracy chugging along. >> it takes 15,000 volunteer poll workers to run an election in kentucky. we are losing poll workers, and we have to find a way to inspire people to volunteer. we have 120,000 -- chief election official at the county level. this year there are about 15 or so of 120 clerks who have told me they plan to retire next year. that's an unusually large number of retirements. >> at the local level it's been an ongoing problem with losing poll workers. >> we are already seeing high turnover among election staff. i fear that many more will reach a breaking point, and decide that this line of public service is no longer worth it. >> additional protection is not provided to those who are threatens, many election officials may face the horrible choice of either continuing to receive threats for doing their jobs, or leaving the profession. the field is already losing officials and an alarming pace. >> that last witness there is a former election security official of the department of homeland security. just foot stumping the point. if more protections for election workers are not provided, we will just continue hemorrhaging election officials. and the expertise they bring with them. at what he called an alarming pace. which of course will likely result in longer lines at the polls, in the more chaotic administration of future elections. amid a spiraling distrust in our election process as large. stoked by the republicans who have decided this is their ticket to power in the future. today's hearing was presided over by the chair the rules committee, minnesota senator amy klobuchar. she made it clear growing threats to election officials demand a federal response. we have seen an effort to mount a federal response. democrats proposed one in the freedom to vote act. which among other things would've created enhanced protections for election officials. that bill was voted down by senate republicans last week. they would not even agreed to allow debate on it. we know what the threat is. what is the way to address the threat? if republicans stand unified, against even trying to. joining us now is the chair of the senate rules committee, amy klobuchar. senator it's great to see you. thanks for making time to be with us tonight. >> thanks rachel. >> could i just first thank you for you know how much is going on in washington, today this, week this month, and i was afraid it was going to get forgotten honestly. those people that came forward, we're so courageous to even tell their story, is mr. schmidt, the republican from philadelphia, talked about the fact that he knew he put himself at greater risk by even coming forward. but he was telling the story of so many, democrats, republicans from big cities, from little towns in rural areas, who are election officials, who have been through a, and their families have been threatened. and not all of them have the police protection that he said he has been able to get. i just want to thank you for highlighting it. because it is frightening frightening thing. and there are a number of solutions. >> i want to talk about those proposed illusions and how we would get. there i do want to, say when mr. schmidt, got to the part of the hearing where he said he's not running for reelection, that he can't take it, that he can't keep doing this, that he can't keep doing this to his family. it was, a heartfelt thing, and also shocking and upsetting to hear, because as you say, in some ways, he's actually privileged over other election workers, who don't have the kinds of protections that he has as an elected official, it does feel unrelenting, and it does feel like there is no help coming. >> katie hobbs, this isn't one of the things she said. she got a voice mail. she's the secretary of state, the woman you featured from arizona. i am a hunter and i think you should be hunted, you will never be safe in arizona again. wade henderson a civil rights, leader talked about the effect this has had in african american communities. this is country wide, we even have a conservative secretary of state, you heard from him. at least focusing on the facts that we are basically losing election workers. our job, protect and defend the constitution. to me it means it's time to pass the freedom to vote act. you rightfully pointed out that republicans have blocked it, but we must bring it up again. senator schumer is committed, to bringing our bill up again. this is the bill that you know senator manchin has signed his name on the title line. he was in the group of us that worked on it with senator petito and warnock. and senator merkley and cain, in king in myself. spanning the country. we put together a really good bill. and basically it addresses this. this should be a federal crime in this kind of stuff happens. we should not allow state legislatures to arbitrarily fire local election officials. the election record should be protected. there are a number of things that would be in that bill that would give these local officials the kind of protection and respect that they need, in addition to the work that has to be done the state basis. and the protection they will need. we need to have election workers and we cannot let these people destroy our democracy. >> republicans are a party your committee today could not help but have been moved by some of these testimonials today both from democrats and republicans who testified. is there any appetite among them to try to fix this, to try to protect these folks in some other way? even if for some other reason they're not willing to sign on to a legislation that includes voting rights. will they at least talk about this, talk about solutions to this? in a narrow way. in a way that would just be about protecting, providing federal protection for people who are threatened for doing his public service? >> i hope so. but we have so many other issues that we were dealing with an elections with. over 400 election suppression bills that have been introduced over the country over 30 have passed -- it was in one of those hearings were i just held it and he grudgingly came. he issued a strong statement ahead of the hearing. i'm going to continue to pursue. that right now, there is one clear solution, not just to this problem rachel, but to the fact that in georgia right now, you will not be able to vote on weekends. during the runoff period. that you, there is going to be less drop off boxes in states all over the country. start? they're >>. yeah attempting and have made, that's what our game it harder to plan. was we cast mail-in wanted ballots. we've got to do it states that are still early and we requiring notary put publics. like in the ball in south carolina. if play and get it with the you want to order win. that's a mail-in ballot, you why we were aggressive have to have someone early. doterize in colleagues would be hiding behind their desks. we it's that of allowing us to debate this bill, giving us or ideas, that's where we are right now. once we get through where we are right now, and hopefully very, soon we have an agreement on the build back better agenda. we must turn to this again. we must find a way, to allow this bill to be debated and go forward. and the haunting words of that election to pick virginia's next government governor is a week from today. the polls could not be tighter. joining us now is the person i always turn to first to get a picture on issues like this, our beloved steve kornacki. it is great to see you, thank you so much for being here. >> happy to be here rachel, one week to go. >> we'll just give us the briefing here. we've been covering the polls like ty, talk to us about how the polls looked overall, and what you're expecting, what we should be watching for elsewhere in this last week? >> yeah you say tie and this is what tight looks like right now. the average of all the polls in virginia right now, terry mcauliffe the democrat with a lead, but a small lead here. less than two points. we've seen a couple polls in the last 24 hours that put this thing at a dead heat at that even. one week to go this certainly looks like a very close race, the backdrop to this as virginia was a state that voted for joe biden last year by ten points, now we are talking about a very competitive race that republicans think they have a real shot at winning. this is becoming a story that's not just about virginia, this is a story potentially about the 2022 midterm election, and really about two different theories. one from democrats, one from republicans, about what could motivate voters in 2022. let me show you what i mean. using virginia as sort of the laboratory here for this experiment, biden won this thing by ten points last year. democrats over the last 20 years or so have been getting stronger and stronger in virginia making it a blue state. the biggest reason the democrats have had so much success lately in virginia, why biden was able to win by ten points here, the suburbs around washington d.c., the d.c. metro area, the suburbs around richmond in general. these are areas that were republican and until a few years ago and they have flipped to the democrats, and gone heavy to the democrats, especially in the trump era. republicans lost a ton of ground in northern virginia, lost a ton of ground in the richmond area during his presidency. when i say it's a national story they lost in areas all around the country just like this area all around the country. you hear terry mcauliffe, you hear joe biden tonight invoking donald trump's name, invoking the memory of the trump presidency. they are trying to touch donald trump to glenn youngkin the republican in this race, and they are trying to replicate what happened in virginia last year, would have been in the suburban areas last year. i'll give you a taste about it right here. loud and county just outside of washington d.c., joe biden won that by donald trump by 25 points here. look at the trajectory of the trump era trajectory and loud and county, he lost by 17. pre-trump this was a battleground. mitt romney lost this county by less than five points, along comes donald trump in the floor falls out. specifically with education, the education, the school boards, curriculum battles, they think they have found a way not to win a place like london county, but not to lose it by 25, not to lose it by 17. they think they can lose by ten or 12 points. if they can do that in london county, if they can do that in northern virginia and richmond, they could win statewide. if they can win statewide that could create a model for >> let me just start off by saying that pediatricians and parents have been looking forward to this day for a year and a half. the fda advisory committee is very good. it is a very hopeful day for parents because increase protection from this virus is on the horizon for their children. parents have been very concerned about the risks of covid. i also think that some parents have questions. let me answer your question directly, let me speak as a pediatrician. if the fda and fc ip recommend the vaccine, you should vaccinate your kids. the benefits of the vaccine clearly outrage the risks for school aged children. >> in terms of parental war wreaths around this, the question about what the uptake rake is going to be, how comfortable pants are going to feel, i think obviously now realize there are so we are not doctors to review all the data who are just considering this is human families. we extrapolate this from our own experience, we know from our own experience that the vaccine is safe and well tolerated and adults in addition to being very effective. but for those who got vaccinated we also know there can be some slight effects including feeling flu we for a week or two, is the side effect profile expected to be the same for the kids as adults are they likely to feel the side effects markedly or is there anything specific to worry about in that regard in terms of how this will be tolerate in younger kids? >> very important question. there were no new or unexpected side effects. there were no cases of myocarditis, seen in the clinical trials of school aged children. but we understand that clinical trials may not show every rare side effect. it gives me great comfort, that we are using, one third of the dose, we use an adolescents and adults. >> if the uptake of vaccines for kids, is strong, and again this is elementary school kids 5 to 11, or the newly qualified group. or will be once this was expected to go through, talk to me about the upside, in terms of kids lives, in the way that families, move in the world. what will this mean for kids ability, to safely return to school, to participate in other activities, things that have been curtailed because of the pandemic. what might this free, up in terms of the way we live? >> let me just give you the numbers, in regards to kids and covid. there's been nearly 2 million kids, who have been infected, with this virus. that's a lot of kids. there's been 8300 hospitalizations, a third of which, have ended up in the icu, for the school aged kids. 10% of all covid cases, to date, have been in this age group. 5200 kids, who have been diagnosed with this thing called multi system syndrome. there's also a lot of school closing. they're losing school time. it's a very hopeful day, because protection from this virus, is on the horizon for these kids. school age children should have the same production, as the older age groups. >> last question for you doctor kessler. looking at this from a broader perspective. to what extent, do you think being able to vaccinate this new age group, will help us as a country contain the epidemic as a whole? i know it's hard to talk about exactly what transmission is attributable to what's groups, and whether or not they've been able to get vaccinated. but will vaccinating younger kids help the whole country, potentially put a lid on this at sometime in the future? why does it look like it just got thrown against a wall and then melted? here's the old map and the new map side by side, at scale. just so you can see the difference that we're talking about here. what happened? what does that giant blob that now hangs off the bottom of irving's new congressional district? if you're wondering what's in that blob, it's a whole lot of conservative white people. who are just stuck into that map for exactly that reason. the old irving texas district was 48% hispanic and latino, a lot like irving itself, the new irving district is 60%, white and only 21% hispanic and latino. voters in the old district picked joe biden, almost three to, one voters and what will be the new district, voted almost 2 to 1 for trump. the new maps. yesterday texas's republican governor greg abbott, officially signed into law the new congressional districts map. texas got two new congressional districts added this shear, to new members of congress from texas this year. because of a huge population, boom that was driven almost entirely, by non white people. 95% of texas's population growth, its new residents over the last ten years, or people of color. 95%. texas gained 11 new residents who are hispanic or latino, for everyone knew white residents, over the past ten years. but that does not mean they get represented in congress. texas's new congressional map gives both of its new districts, two white majority voting populations. the new map reduces the number have a spanish majority districts from eight, to seven. despite the huge growth in the latino population, the new maps eliminating entirely texas only congressional district where black voters were the majority. even before governor greg abbott signed these new maps in the, law a group of latinos advocacy groups and citizens sued to try to stop these new maps from taking effect, after he signed the law yesterday, abbott got another lawsuit, he handed to, him over these new maps. this one was run by democratic voting rights attorney marc elias, who you've seen here on this show. so, he's going to have a legal fight on his, hands for these unbelievably racially regenerated maps. unless those lawsuits succeed, they are set to take effect next year. watch this space. effec next year. watch this space watch this space ru presents... the underdogs. they may have lost an eye, or their hearing, or their youthful good looks. but there's a lot of things the remarkable dogs haven't lost... like their ability to lick, wag, and love with the best of them. join subaru in helping underdogs find a loving home and celebrate all dogs during our third annual national make a dog's day.
