It was a defence of statues just like that one, that brought a hoard of torchwielding White Nationalists to charlottesville to defend those symbols of White Supremacy four years ago. And to fight the violence these meted out. In the end they lost. The statue came down today. Many of the leaders behind that fascist rally had to face a rude awakening.
