Military and our diplomats and intelligence professionals. That was the choice, the real choice, between leaving or escalating. I was not going to extend this forever war. And i was not extending a forever exit. To those asking for a third decade of war in afghanistan, i ask, what is the vital national interest . It was time to end this war. We will maintain the fight against terrorism. We just dont need to fight a Ground War to do it. And to isisk, we are not done with you yet. The speech gets the broader outlines of his Foreign Policy, saying that the era of Nation Building is over. The president also noted that the u. S. Would help evacuate the estimated 1 to 200 americans still in afghanistan, if they want to leave. The State Department also think kabul embassy staff, posting this photo taken just before the departure. There is no longer an embassy in afghanistan. Those diplomats will now be based in qatar. Meanwhile Nbc News has learned more about just how closely the taliban worked with the Military Of The United States to get evacuees to the airport. In some cases they drove americans are checkpoints, clear streets of americans could pass safely and even carry luggage to the airport gates. They may have also prevented some attacks. Today in kabul, the taliban solidified its grip on power and pledged to unify, quote, stable and safe afghanistan. They also called for new relations with the west and international investment. That may be a long time coming. Earlier this evening, Bidens Chief of staff spoke to medicine, our msnbc colleague, about the taliban. Will the u. S. Be recognizing the taliban as the government of afghanistan anytime soon . I dont know if we will any ever recognize them as the government. Today the taliban roamed the upward freely, examining quit meant that had been left behind. U. S. Officials say it was disabled. We have disabled our military systems. We have also demilitarized equipment that we did not bring out of the airport. Those aircraft will never fly again. We are also keeping an eye on other developments tonight. In louisiana, more than 1 Million people are still without power, after Hurricane Ida battered the coast. Many areas have no gas or no clean Water Supply and the whole region is sweltering in heat in many places, including in grand isle. Here is the director of Emergency Management and his discussion with Rachel Maddow out earlier tonight. We just made it to the island today. With a rescue crew. And they reported that the island is devastated. That it is totally uninhabitable. There is 3 to 6 feet of sand that has washed over the entire island and they have no power, they have no cell phone communication. So we are Staging Supplies now so that we can set up for a recovery process. But that will certainly take a while. Meanwhile, a Texas Bill restricting access to the ballot is now heading to the Governors Desk. Democrats in the State Legislature had been trying to stop the measure, even leaving the state to protest votes. We will have more on this ahead. And all of this as the u. S. Continues with its grappling with the delta variant, the White House saying it is stepping up efforts, stepping up Treatment And Support for hospitals. And there is now new Concern Tonight about an emerging variant. Bloomberg reports that South African scientists have identified a new strain that will possibly spread easily and have an increased ability to evade antibodies. This as Florida Withholds from School Districts that made masks mandatory in classrooms, in defiance of the governor. With that lets bring in our lead off guests. Bureau chief for the washington post. A. B. Stoddard from Real Clear Politics and Ben Rhodes a Security Adviser for president obama. His book is after the fall, being american in the World Weve made. Good to see All Of You tonight. A very important night for this country. So ashley parker, you were in the room for that speech. What struck you about what he said that was perhaps not as apparent to those of us at home . In the room, and i think a lot of this came through on television, what struck me first was his tone and his delivery. That he was defiant and fiery in a moment that felt like he was almost shouting in the first part of his speech. And hushed in others, trying to make a point, banging a Soul Finger on the lectern. He was defensive. He seemed to anticipate the criticism, understand, it want to push back on the narrative that we left americans behind. In fact there are about 100 to 200 americans, the president said himself, who wanted to get out and could not. But he very much went through all of the people who had been evacuated, the americans, the afghans, and even in some cases explicitly rebutted his critics, saying you may say this, heres my response. You may ask for a third decade in afghanistan, here is my response. So it was explanatory. It was defiant. It was justifying it. And it was a grim speech, it was not particularly on a view lenient or hopeful speech. There are small moments where the president tried to lay out a view of the 21st century, of going to war abroad. Amy stoddard, was this the speech that he needed to give right now, Post Withdrawal . Do you think this was the tone he needed to take . Some critics said he sounded two defensive, and i understand we are having some problems with your video but we can hear you. So what is your thought about the speech . Well, i think he has actually is right, he was defiant and offensive. That is consistent with the way he has spoken about this all along. He has the support of the public on his side, on the policy withdrawal. It is the process of the withdrawal that he is losing support over. People have not yet accepted what he is, saying that it was inevitable, that chaos was always going to ensue and that it was always going to be dangerous. They see tragedy and they think this was botched. Maybe after the speech today, they will believe what the president is telling them, that there was no other way to do this, that it would always come out this way. And they will change their mind. I think that, though, will depend on whether the remaining americans are able to come home safely or whether they are in afghanistan longer and whether they remain safe. If we dont see chaos, violence, tragedy, executions from the taliban. And that is really going to be on the burden of the White House, to take care of those people that they say, that now that the military is gone, they can protect, they say, through diplomatic channels with the taliban. That is a huge challenge. Right. So i think president biden believes that the policy was right. I dont know that the american people, even though they agree with him, like the way it is going or whether he will change his mind. We will talk more about the specifics of afghanistan but lets talk about big picture. We heard Biden Lay out his doctrine. What would you say where the main components . He said this decision about afghanistan is not just about afghanistan. It is about ending an era of major Military Operations to remake other countries. Yeah, i think, chris, the bet that Joe Biden is making, is that this is about bringing an into the post 9 11 period. That these missions that set an achievable objectives and have Cost Rulings of dollars and are unsustainable and what he is saying is that i am not going to continue those policies that have demonstrably not succeeded at huge cost. And also, importantly, he is saying, look, part of the reason we need to end these wars, is that we need to focus on a new set of challenges. We need to focus on the challenge from china and the threat to democracy from russia. We have to focus on climate change. We have to do work on our democracy at home. And i think the biden presidency, as it interacts with Foreign Policy, is saying, i am going to turn the page on 9 11. And move us into a new role in the world that is not defined by these military endeavors. And obviously, there is a lot to look at, and things to criticize, in the execution of the withdrawal. I think the White House is, saying that the profound choice to end the war is what people will remember. That is something that we will draw public support in the Long Run and will also position the united states in the Long Run to be better able to address these priorities without continuing to be prosecuting a war in afghanistan. Let me ask you about the take from the wall street journal. Quote, counterterrorism officials say it will be much harder and less effective than the u. S. Suggests. The u. S. Has lost many of its key assets for tracking violent militants and their plots, they say. All that, plus, we cant forget that the taliban is inheriting a country that is very poor and polarized. Has the White House boxed itself into a corner . How difficult is it going to be to achieve all of its objectives in dealing with the taliban . Getting americans and afghans home safely . And protecting National Security . Well, i think, you talk about the Biden Doctrine i am always hesitant to affix a bumper sticker. But when it comes to terrorism, the argument is, if you look at the places where the united states has had to take action to disrupt terrorist plots, it includes countries like pakistan, or Somalia Or Yemen or places in north africa, we we do not have thousands of troops on the ground. Where, in most cases, we are not engaged in a Ground War. And what he is saying is that that combination of air power, intelligence and, in some cases, cooperation from partners, is ultimately a more sustainable way to defend the country, then having this kind of Ground Presence like we had in afghanistan. I think that holds up if you look at the experience in recent years, with one big question mark, chris, which is that we dont know with the taliban is going to do when they are in charge. Are they going to passively allow for a group like Isis Safety . Are they going to allow groups like they have had connections to in the past . They are for making a case for more military action. We dont know that. And we will have to watch that in the coming weeks and months. To determine whether or not obviously the taliban poses risk to the afghan people. But whether they impose a Terrorism Threat . I think it is backed up by a loud of evidence. Trillions of dollars spent Nation Building and a permanent presence is not making us safer, is not sustainable, is not achieving the objectives that was set at the outset of these wars, and so one must turn the page on the more. There is a lot to debate about the execution of the withdrawal, as you said, and there are a lot of afghans and americans who need to get out of the country if they are going to be safe. But on the Core Issue of americas interest, i think he is quite confident in the Long Run that he will be able to demonstrate that we need to move beyond this war and that we can defend our counterterrorism interest. Yes, and there is no doubt, that in the Long Run, the american people in poll after poll support their withdraw from afghanistan but you write today actually, about this more perilous, phase for bidens dealings with afghanistan, as you talk to folks within the White House, what is their biggest concern, in the short term . Well in the short term, theres a couple. First and foremost are the roughly 100 200 americans who are still on the ground, who perhaps want to leave. As you pointed, Out Americans generally agree with the president s decision, to leave afghanistan. Where has gotten problematic for, him is how he is managing this process. And that is the one thing that americans and the White House is aware is still paying attention to. If there is a fellow american citizen, in afghanistan, who cannot get out. Or again, if there are any other major attacks. Obviously all of our troops are gone. And that sort of the immediate. And then in the near term issues are dealing with, theres four starters the refugee crisis. We have airlifted as the president said, over 100,000 afghans out of the country, into neighboring countries. But this now begins a long and perilous journey, for those refugees. Many of them are being housed in places that are overcrowded, in squalor conditions. They then have to be processed. There are many afghans who worked with americans, for this two decade long war, who are eligible, to still leave the country and have not yet been able to. Interpreters for instance. Those who worked with soldiers and military contractors. And then those afghans are going to be resettled, some of them in the united states, and some communities they are receiving a very warm welcome, and other places, its a bit more wary, and other places its downright hostile and has the potential to become a republican talking point, thats weaponized. Those are the media in mid short Term Concern for the White House right now. Lets talk just for a minute about the politics of all of this. I want to play what congressional republicans are saying tonight, about the president. We are less safe, as a result of this self inflicted wound. This was a, an unforced error, and Foreign Policy blunder, of gargantuan proportions. I believe there should be accountability for what i see is probably the biggest failure in american government on a military stage, in my lifetime. The biden administration is lying to us, about the threats we face from afghanistan. About what they do and when they knew it. What do you think, from a political perspective . About the republican reaction so far. And how and what happened in afghanistan is impacted Bys Effort to get the domestic agenda passed in congress. Or maybe even look forward to 2022. Is this going to be the issue . Or is covid in the economy going to be the issue people vote on . I think that the president s Approval Numbers were dipping before they withdraw from afghanistan, because of the explosion of the delta variant. And concerns that the country and the economy are going to suffer, because of the new infections, from the delta variant. The republicans, even if they were supportive of a withdrawal from afghanistan, are going to take advantage of, this and be watching any potential terror threat, emanating from afghanistan. There is no question. The problem with further issues there, in terms of the americans who remain, is the democrats have been, as critical as the republicans. The actual abandonment of americans, will be a major theme, i think louder even then the vetting of refugees, that you hear from republicans. In the weeks to come. Domestic agenda is reaching an acute stage in september, as the democrats try to come together with Inter Party fights on this human versus physical infrastructure, and avoid a government shutdown. And increase the debt ceiling. This is an excruciating month ahead for them. And they really need afghanistan to go smoothly, and to be out of the headlines. Thank you all, we appreciate. It coming, up the disturbing report out of georgia, where anti vaccine protesters actually forced one Vaccine Drive to shut down, as new cases continue to rise. And later, whats next in the battle for voting, writes after texas republicans passed a major bill today, that makes it much harder to vote. The 11th Hour is just getting underway, on a Tuesday Night. T gettin underway, on a Tuesday Night underway, on a Tuesday Night we did it again. Verizon has been named americas most reliable network by rootmetrics. And our customers rated us 1 for Network Quality in america according to j. D. Power. Number one in reliability, 16 times in a row. Most awarded for Network Quality, 27 times in a row. Proving once again that nobody builds networks like verizon. Thats why were building 5g right, thats why theres only one best network. Every single day, were all getting a little bit better. Were better cooks. Better neighbors. Hi. Ive got this until you get back. Better parents. And better friends. No no thats why comcast works around the clock constantly improving americas largest gigspeed broadband network. And just doubled the capacity here. How do things look on your end . Perfect because were building a better network every single day. Baaam. Internet that doesnt Miss A beat. Thats cute, but my internet streams to my ride. Adorable, but does yours Block Malware . Nope. It crushes it. Pshh, mines so fast, No One can catch me. Thats because you all have the same internet. Xfinity xfi. So powerful, it keeps oneupping itself. Many of our, workers who are can your internet do that . Doing these vaccinations, are receiving threats or receiving hostile emails. When i heard that one mobile event, swore in one town, had to close down because of the harassment and threats, that were directed at our team, i said this is wrong. These people are giving their lives, to help ours. And to help us in this state. We in georgia can do better. A direct rebuke from dr. Kathleen toomey. Head of Georgias Department of public health. Who said several vaccination drives were disrupted, and one was actually forced to shut down. Over threats from Exile Vaccine protesters. A spokesperson told the atlanta journalconstitution quote, aside from doing threaten themselves, staff realize that No One would want to come to that location for vaccination, under those circumstances, so they packed up and left. Back with us again tonight the Founding Director of the national center for national preparedness, advises us on public health, hes also a professor of pediatrics at Uber Einstein College of medicine first of all the threats besides the fact that this is absolutely outrageous, i thought, if you havent gotten vaccinated yet. Chances are you are probably a little hesitant. You finally decide youre going to go. And there are threats theres harassment what do you make of what youve heard from the good doctor there . Chris it was just stunning to hear those words in those reports. This whole antivaccine movement has reached a new uninsured way of insanity. That i simply have to worry about. It was bad enough when people were hesitant in legitimately waiting for new Information And Assurance that the vaccines were effective and safe. We got that and emphasize that with the full approval from the fda for the vaccines. In just 90 ideas, about what vaccines do and dont do. And i, think that was bad enough, and now we have the reports now, violent threats against people that are administering these lifesaving vaccines to people. Enough so that it actually intimidates people who really do want to get vaccinated, to the point where theyre not coming to get their shots. I wish the government, locally, in states where this is happening, would crack down this. This has to be not acceptable, no matter what party, the governors, and the local officials are. We have to put a stop to this. As we know, people who are involved, whether its in vaccinations are treating people with covid, they have had their hands full. During an interview with Usa Today today, you called Hurricane Idas aftermath quote, a pandemic tinderbox. So you have a state, that has hospitals already full, and now you have no water, no electricity, a variety of problems. What are your biggest concerns coming out of the Storms Devastation . This is the problem with some largescale natural disasters, lake Hurricane Ida. But also things like wildfires, and the west coast. When im talking about is, if you have a natural disaster, that is forcing people to evacuate quickly. And go into shelters, whether its the fire or hurricane, you are actually forcing people to move, together and buses, and other forms of transportation. Then they end up in a shelter which is very difficult to maintain spacing. And do the other things that keep people safe. Is specially, in states like louisiana where the Vaccination Rates are low. So you have conflicting agendas for managing hurricane eta. And making sure that people do not get too close to cause contamination with the coronavirus. Its a very tough situation. Because the solution chris, is that you need twice as many shelters. Because we have to keep people separated. And we dont really have that in very many places. Now before i let you go i have to ask you about this new research from south africa, that flag then you see one to variant for the world to monitor. What do we know about. It should we be worried . Im not worried. Most people are not worried about. It weve noted sit, its not even a variant of interest. No less a variant of concern. Which are the words that we start to pay attention. Right now its just a newly identified very, and we will have to see how that unfolds. Hopefully it will not be a cause for too much concern or trouble. But we will have to watch. Its a reminder that variants are constantly developing. Constant mutations. And we have to track in surveil those, as carefully and as effectively as we possibly can. Doctor, always great to see you. Thank you so much. And coming, up whats exactly is in that new restrictive Voting Bill in texas . Thats on its way to the Governors Desk . When The 11th Hour continues. Continues continues this is not a day that i was woman 5, 6, 7, 8. [band playing] a new School Year begins. In the classrooms weve prepared. With the students we are devoted to. In concert with the parents and families we partner with every day. We cant do it without you. Were ready to teach. Our Number One priority is student safety. Were determined to keep everyone safe. And excited to help all students succeed. Woman because we know quality public schools make a better california. Looking forward to. Its not that i was naive and thought that this would not come. I knew this day was coming but i just hope that washington would act before my colleagues here would act and hopefully provide some cover. So to me it is a very solemn day. Strict new Voting Decisions are on their way to texas Governor Greg abbotts desk after going through the State Legislature. Full approval was given today. The lava shakes early voting and adds criminal penalties for some poll workers, pretext partisan Poll Watchers and Institutes Voter i. D. For vote by mail. Red state laws like this on elections have prompted calls for federal legislation, something that seems unlikely. With us tonight, Juanita Tolliver and matthew dowd. Matthew was a founder of country over party. Good to see you. Juanita, where does the biden White House need to focus its energy if there is any hope of moving federal voting Rights Legislation . When you look at this bill, clearly a target some of the things that were effective in getting more people in 2020, particularly people of color, to vote. Thats right. And there is protection for Voting Legislation and then privately applying pressure to senate democrats because we know that the republican party at large is resolute in their decision to not advance any Voting Rights protections. And honestly support this coordinated effort of Voter Suppression that we are seeing across the country. Now it falls to senate democrats to take up that same energy we saw from Texas Democrats and representative Jasmine Crockett and use every tool in their power to advance these bills. And i dont say that lightly. I think it will be a big step for the White House to come out and name the need to have a carve out of the filibuster. Without it, we know black and brown voters will suffer. We know that the voters who gave the democrats the white House And Senate will be looking to them to protect their right to vote. We should all have access to that. Not these new barriers that, we know, even though the legislators are trying to say that it is not racist action. But we know that these legislation disproportionally the target minorities. And matthew dowd, i think because it is the 18th State that has passed restrictive new voting laws, i want to play for you this exchange when Wisconsin Senator Rob johnson, who has perpetuated lies about Voter Fraud in 2020, said something actually different. Take a listen. We have this policy, republican voters didnt vote for him. Do you mean to tell me that Joe Biden won the State Fair and square . [inaudible] i dont see it, i dont believe it. Look at the polls, its certainly plausible. There is nothing skewed about this. There is nothing skewed about the results . Now the results in wisconsin. But then said after saying the Vote Wasnt skewed, he then says he supports the effort of the election investigation, the audit. How do you square that . Look, there is no way to square anything with what the republicans are doing right now. And it is fundamentally, just a followup, they know the electorate has changed, they know it is changing. We added 23 Million americans between the two censuses, all of which were people of color, all 23 Million people that were added were people of color. In texas, where i am, where the leadership is god awful, 4 Million people got added. 95 of people added in the population where people of color. So this is i think it is directly related, to broaden this a little bit, is that republicans want to pass on popular things that the american people do not want. And then they dont want to be held accountable. Because the only way to hold them accountable is to disenfranchise a vote. One thing about the history of our country, we have never had true universal suffrage. We struggled towards it, we have moved towards it over the years, granting the vote to people who own property, and then women, and then the civil rights act. The closest we have ever come to universal suffrage. And what are the republicans doing . Rolling it back, pre1965. Thats basically what they are doing. And this is not just something that disproportionately affects African Americans and latinos, as we said. It affects everyone. It affects urban and suburban voters, rural voters. And as i said, when it does, is that it removes accountability these elected officials would have for unpopular policies, because they dont want to face an electorate that they know if the electorate looks like america, republicans cant win. Both guests are staying with us. And now the Big Lie coming from inside the house, when The 11th Hour continues. Hour continues aloha isnt this a cozy little room . Capitol, his allies continue to pour Fuel And Conspiracy flames, that sparked the riot. This was fresh from congressman madison cawthorn, and a Gop Event in North Carolina this past weekend. Ill tell you what anybody that tells you that Joe Biden was duly elected, this is not true. In our elections centers continue to be raging continue to be so, and then its going to lead to one place and its bloodshed. And i will tell you, as much as im willing to defend our liberty at all costs, there is nothing that i would dread doing more in and having to pick up arms against a fellow american. So not only did an elected member of congress, appear to threaten violence against fellow americans, when asked when he called people to washington again, he told that crowd quote, we are actively working on that. In a statement to the washington post, a spokesman for the congressman said quote, the lawmaker was in no way supporting or advocating for any form of violence. Still with us when eta in matthew. Matthew, he says he would dread doing it. But if elections continue to be stolen, also known as the Big Lie, its going to lead to bloodshed. Democrats are complaining, but where is the accountability here. Hes not the first one. Its already lead to bloodshed. The Big Lie has already led to bloodshed. The most dangerous thing thats affecting our democracy today, which may sink, at which im actually worried about, is the fact that we no longer believe a part of our country no longer believes that truth matters. And they no longer believe in the common good. They no longer believe that we should do things and sacrifice in the interest of all, to make everyone else better. The constant lies, i have not only caused this huge problem with what happened on january six, it caused a huge problem on the pandemic. Its caused a huge problem and facing climate, change because lie after lie after lie after lie, keeps feeding. This and in The End, what its going to do, i dont feel sorry for the people that are listening to this and then taking action on it, but theyre being lied to. And when theyre lied to, they actually decide well, this is, i need to overthrow the government. Because its a fraud. And when theyre told that over and over and again. The natural extension from that, is what happened on January 6th. And i worry that January 6th, is just a precursor, to a worse event, or worse events around the country. Its not going to just happen at the washington capital. Its going to happen in austin texas. Its going to happen in albany new york. Its going to happen in sacramento california. Its going to happen in tallahassee florida. Every place this is, as it gets pushed and pushed and pushed, in the anger builds, from this group of people that believe the lie. Its going to keep going. And until elected officials are held accountable, we will not be able to deal with. Its not 400 people at an insurrection, elected officials who instigated this, have to be held accountable. Juanita, look hes right. This is not a theoretical situation. Five people died as a result of january six. 100 plus Police Officers were injured. Hawthorne calls the insurrectionists, the people who got caught. Political prisoners. Do you agree, do you share the concerns that matthew just stated . That this is not going to stop here . Absolutely, i think the only other thing else to build on, is that its already happening around the country. Lets not forget about the plot to kidnap and harm governor with more. Lets not forget that just 12 days ago, there was a guy at the capitol, threatening to blow up the whole space. Its still happening. And i feel like those other State Based Events that we saw in michigan. And wisconsin and across the country, were warmups for the insurrection. And absolutely theres going to be more to come, especially when you have elected officials, spewing lies that we know, the base they speak to that hear that, and are ready and willing to Act On it. Its an active threat, and its an active danger, it really trumps and explains why representatives like Cori Bush and others, have been calling for investigations into an expulsion, of any members, who are facilitating the insurrection. Who could potentially incite another insurrection, and that is why representative hawthorne should be expelled immediately. And this should be done, he should not be allowed to serve in congress. Spouting lies, dangerous lies like this. Because its not just rhetoric chris, this is actionable information. That we know, many republicans across the country are ready and willing to Act On. You are just talking about texas, theyre passing laws, and there is no fraud. Are these lawmakers feeding this dangerous narrative. This potentially deadly narrative, with legislation . Yes. And i think some of them will quietly say well, we know theres no fraud, but were kind of doing this because our base wants us to do, those were going ahead and doing this. They are actually, Part And Parcel of why we ended up where we are and keep in mind. This lie, combined with a base thats willing to be instigated, elected officials who are not responsible, plus more than 300 Million guns, that are in this country. More than 300 Million guns, sit in this country. So you have ally, you have a fire that started, a fireman thats supposed to Put It out and wont Put It, out and then all of these people hold gasoline at their house. Thats with this. What do you do about it juanita, can the january six commission at least shine some light . What can happen here . January six commission absolutely is working on shining some light on this. And we see the concern that republicans are already pushing back with, and what was even being requested in terms of these telecommunication records they preserve, you stomach at the come, out and oppose it, in theyre already showing signs of concern about what will be discovered, what will be unearth, saw the january six commission absolutely needs to keep pressure on, this and keep exposing the truth to the american public. Not only does the american public deserve to know the truth but this country, never needs to experience what happened on january six again. And so getting all the information possible out there is critical, as well as again accountability for elected officials to continue to perpetuate these lies, and continue to rile up their base in a violent violent dangerous way. Juanita, matthew, thank. You coming, up an update on two natural disasters. Including the unrelenting wildfire, now threatening a popular vacation destination. When The 11th Hour continues. Destination when The 11th Hour continues ive been telling everyone. The secret to great teeth is having healthy gums. Crest advanced gum restore. Detoxifies below the gumline. In Northern California the Caldor Fire is moving ever closer to lake tahoe. Thousands of people have already been evacuated as firefighters struggle to contain those wind driven flames. And in louisiana, thousands have fled the path of ida and are still being told not to return. Water and sewer services are disrupted and the power is out for more than 1 Million. Our Correspondent Morgan has more from new orleans. Tonight its a slow motion disaster, leaving more than 1 Million people in the dark. Do you have any idea when you will get power back . I dont know. Its crazy. Ida crippling a massive power grid. The Energy Provider saying it could take three weeks before affected areas are back up. The hospitals are slammed, schools and businesses are not open. There is not water in your home and there is not going to be electricity. In a Parish West of new orleans, residents are being warned to prepare for more than a month. Fuel for his generator . More pressure than water. [inaudible] what then . Thats it. Many hospitals are still relying on generators. But as ida struck, surgeons faced a patient emergency. The Hospital Roof came off during the emergency. Tonight thousands of crews are fighting against time, and Idas Aftermath to bring the disaster to a close.
