Speak from st. Charles, louisiana. He will be talking about the american Jobs Plan, hopefully with an infrastructure plan. Mitch mcconnell said this. 100 of our focus is on stopping this new administration. What we have in the united States Senate is total unity from Susan Collins to Ted Cruz in opposition to what the new biden administration is trying to do to this country. 100 of his focus, he says, is on stopping the president s plans. Its hard to see where there is room for compromise in that. Perhaps just as important is what mcconnell was asked about when he gave those answers. 100 of our focus is on stopping this new administration. Isnt there a concern that a sizeable chunk of the republican base doesnt believe this election was real . 100 of my focus is on standing up to this administration. The questions he got was about Liz Cheney and pushing back on the lies that the election was stolen. Mcconnell did not engage in those questions. He made a choice not to take the opportunity to stand up for The Truth. That as one is chosen to replace cheney, elise stefanik. When asked by Steve Bannon of all people. We want transparency and answers for the american people. What are the democrats so afraid of . The voters in arizona and the State Senate in arizona pursued this audit. I fully support it. Transparency is a good thing. We need to fix these Election Security issues going into the future. That recount was ordered by the gopled State Senate despite the fact there is no evidence of widespread Voter Fraud. What started with trumps Big Lie then snowballed into the storming of the u. S. Capitol. 147 members of the republican Office Voting to overturn the election results, including stefanik, even after that deadly riot. It continues to this day with Voter Suppression efforts in 47 states 47 states and with republican party leaders saying theyre speaking The Truth. And cheney, meantime, has a blunt message for her party. We need to steer away, she says, from the dangerous and cult trump personality. Our children are watching. With us is ali vitale. Weve got josh dossey, weve also got Teri Palmeri and the editor, charlie sykes, an nbc contributor. Welcome to all four of you. President biden is expected to speak at any moment, so if i have to cut you off, i apologize. Her job in the Gop Leadership is focused on crafting messaging. She says, we have to steer clear from the dangerous and antidemocratic trump cult personality. It looks like the democrats are steering toward it. Reporter thats always been the chasm in the last few months from the time trump left office until now. He said he has not been the leader of the party and should not going forward. Scalise has taken the opposite approach, meeting with the former president and heavily factoring them into the strategy and the role he wants to play in the party going forward. Clearly when Cheney Talks in that oped about the Reflection Point, the Reflection Point looks like its going to be that shell be ousted from her Leadership Position and that the party is standing up saying they prefer the version of The Truth that Donald Trump wants as opposed to the version that actually happened which is that he lost the election, and so be it if thats in contrast with the democratic norms that this country is founded upon. I think it also should be noted, though, that while stefanik is likely the person to replace her, she is running on opposed, and there is some tension among the more conservative parts of this party. For example, The Club For Growth pointing out that cheney in terms of voting on the issues is actually more conservative than stefanik. At the same time, though, they might be judging that on conservative policies, but if this is about conservatism as trump defines it, then certainly stefanik is the choice here, and ive heard from allies and sources that are pleased to see her in there, which is something they have wanted to see for some time since he left the office. Elli, is there anyone thats standing up for Liz Cheney . The republican lawmakers had misgivings about thenPresident Trump would say one thing privately and one thing publicly. They dont get credit for what they say privately. What is the consensus on Liz Cheney . You saw that Mitch Mcconnell himself got himself into hot water making a comment where he just didnt want to comment on cheneys situation. I spoke to a republican member who was not going to put their name on this, but they said the Reason Cheney should be out of leadership is because of the continued relitigation of the role of trump. Cheney hasnt shied away from talking about how he shouldnt run for president in 2024, how she doesnt believe he is the leader of this party, how he helped to foment an insurrection on january 6, and what this member told me was they felt relitigating that rift was not the way for the party to go forward and do the things that i think all republicans agree on, that they just want to retake the house in the 2022 midterms. Trying to renegotiate trump is not helping when people in the leadership are not marching to that message. Ill ask you to stand by as we listen to the president. Ive been here a number of times over the years first in the senate and then as vice president. I came here with richard long. Please, sit down, everybody. I was 29 years old and i got elected. And i went to see russell long. And he said, son, i made my stops to all the senior senators, which is what you did in those days. He said, son, sit down, sit down. He pointed to his deck. Desk. I sat down and he said, how much money did you spend in your campaign. Well, sir, and this is going to shock you. A little over 285,000 but then i had to borrow some money to get through it, and i just won barely by less than half a percentage point. And he said, well, good thing you won. And i said, how is that . Well, he said, you got yourself a 38,000 deficit. I said, yes, sir. He said, if you have one, you just have a plain old deficit. Now you can have a deficit party. He was an amazing guy. Both of you are amazing. Mr. Mayor, youve got a great city. As i said, ive been here more than once, and its good to be back. Its hard to believe that you got hit as badly as you have within the time frame you have. And i spent some time with randy. He got hit a Little Bit, but not like you have. And, gov, we have to build back better. One of the things that im proud of is in the first 100 days that i became president , we have created more jobs in that period of time than any administration in history. But the way i look at that, thats just a down payment. Getting us back with the american recovery act, a lot of that had to do with getting people vaccinated, getting 600 Million doses of the vaccine and getting people in a position where it was available. But now its about rebuilding america, rebuilding in a way that it has resilience. And the folks who are going to rebuild are those folks Right over there, unions. Theyre going to rebuild in a way that will provide good jobs. Well, look, as i said, its good to be back, governor edwards and mayor honor. I also want to thank president wren, aflcio, head of the there you are. I couldnt find you. And, folks, there is when it comes to bridges and roads, ive never seen a Republican Or Democrat road, i just see roads. Mayor, youre a republican. You wrote a Newspaper Article suggesting that we, along with the governor and democratic mayor shreveport, mayor perkins, why we need the american rescue plan. Its an investment in america itself, will create jobs and imagine our bridges, our roads, our ports, our airports, our water pipes, water projects, highspeed internet, transmissible lines and stable housing. Jobs that rebuild the foundation of a strong, fair and resilient competitive economy. I know the times have been tough here. The damage of the hurricanes have been devastating. The governor has already spoken with me. Were talking to omb and our congress, because i believe you need the help. Were going to try to make sure you get it. But the people of louisiana always pick themselves up just like america always picks itself up. There is no quit in america. There is no quit in louisiana that ive observed. But that doesnt mean the federal government, because it was local, it doesnt mean it shouldnt help. I promise well build back better and will be more resilient and build back in a way that all We Build is better able to withstand storms that are becoming more severe and more frequent than ever. You may have noticed, i promised i would have a Climate Forum for the world in washington within 100 days. Well, 40 Heads Of State showed up from the largest countries in the world to some of the smallest. You cant deny it, there is a real change in the weather. And if we go 1. 5 degrees warmer, were going to be in real trouble, the point of no return. As a matter of fact, a lot of it well have to build back now in terms of infrastructure. We have to build back to a different standard. Not to what it was, its got to be better. The climate has changed so much now that its going to rise. We have to build for whats needed now, and i promise you were going to do that so were better prepared to withstand storms and becoming more severe and more frequent. Were standing here in The Shadow of the I10 Bridge which ive gone over several times myself in the past. Its a perfect example of how weve neglected as a nation to invest in the future of our economy and the future of our people. When The Bridge was built in 1952, it was built there was nothing there. It was built to make sure that we, in fact, are able to it was going to last for 50 years. That was 20 years ago. It was built for 50 years. It was built for the Crossing Load of 330,000 crossings. Today more than 80,000 cars and Trucks Passover that bridge and it doesnt have the modern safety features that bridges need to have now. Six lines of interstate narrow into four lanes of a bridge. Thats a recipe for disaster. And thats what im sure you dont need to tell the drivers around Lake Charles that it means Traffic Bottlenecks and delays. At the last inspection, this bridge was categorized as in poor condition. And after decades of politicians studying it and talking about it, governor edwards is one finally moving forward with a project to actuallyry place The Bridge. One with six lanes, new interchanges that are safer, reduces congestion. It shouldnt be this hard or take so long to fix a bridge if its this important. It makes no sense. The truth is across the country we have failed to properly invest in infrastructure for the last century. In the last four years, how many times did you hear it being said this is infrastructure week. I got so tired of hearing that and nothing has happened. Across america there are more than 45 hear me now 45,000 bridges that are structurally deficient. Structurally deficient. Every day americans cross these bridges 178 Million times, and they are structurally deficient. Weve seen what happens when they deteriorate. Remember a few years ago, two counties over in mississippi . They had to shut down more than 60 bridges that were in poor condition, 60 bridges. People in those communities were rerouted 40 to 50 miles, detours, with half hour to hour delays. One of the areas when i was doing this with our last Measure Plan when barack was president was in pennsylvania. There was a large shopping center, a school and it was just across a creek, as we say up that way. And The Bridge across it was deficient. But there was a Fire Station just within eyesight from here to the parking lot. But guess what . When there was a burn, when there was a fire, they had to go up nine miles to find a bridge, come back, and by that time a hell of a lot of damage was done. There are bridges all over america, big and small, like that. A few years ago, as i said, we found ourselves in a position where its not just more inconvenient like the situation in mississippi, it is also a matter of life and death, keeping firefighters, paramedics getting people the help they need, cutting off Hurricane Evacuation routes. In addition, more than 1. 5 million miles of our roads in america are in poor condition. One in five miles. Thats more than a safety hazard, that is a drain in our economy. Typically the typical american pays more than necessary for our infrastructure. We used to be the leader in the world. All told these delays cost our country, according to economists, an estimated 160 Billion a year in waste, extra fuel, extra time and light. And thats due to the congestion, and folks in louisiana know there are much greater threats than just congestion. When The Bridge is washed out or when it cant stand up to a hurricane, People Cant get to their jobs, cant get to their schools, Families Cant get to the hospitals safely, this is about creating jobs and also saving lives. My mother had an expression, gov. She said, out of everything bad, something good will come if you look hard enough for it. One of the things in terms of the Health Crisis of covid has shown us, we have to build back better in a whole series of ways. Its about building a strong foundation for the american people. So when i think about the threats of hurricanes and Global Warming and then the poor condition of our economy as it relates particularly to the infrastructure, i think of one thing, i think of jobs. Jobds. Jobs. Everything weve gone through is now sort of the blinders have been taken off the american people. They know how bad a shape things are in. But it creates, if we move all the economists including the liberal as well as conservative Think Tanks create up to 16 Million goodpaying jobs, not 8 an hour, 12 an hour, 15 an hour, prevailing wage jobs, wages you can raise a family on. Just a Little Bit of Breathing Room after everything is paid. This state is working on rebuilding the I10 Bridge, but we can put america to work in every state, fixing roads and bridges in desperate need of repair. My plan is 115 Million above budget, above what we have spent in the past so we can modernize bridges and roads and highways that need it most. Putting people to work in goodpaying jobs. I know a lot of you watching from loam thinking, youre wondering what he did before, is he available in the future . Let me speak directly to the union. 90 of all the Infrastructure Jobs this is going to create wont require a college degree. 75 wont even require an associates degree. These are jobs that cant be outsourced, cant be outsourced. It just requires Something Weve got in good supply here in louisiana hard work, grit and sweat. Like the workers who are Here Today and all the people you knew and grew up with. Its a blue Collar Blueprint to rebuild america. To supercharge our economy so we can move goods, get to work, become more competitive around the world. To shorten our commutes to give us back lost time to our families. All told the american Jobs Plan is going to modernize 25,000 miles of highways and roads, and well fix the nations ten most economically significant roads and bridges that require replacement that are just not safe anymore, which this bridge could be one of them. It repairs 10,000 bridges that need updated. When you spark new life into the economy, it gives people hope. Business picks up at the local convenience store, the seafood market, the Hardware Store where centers of peoples lives are. Suddenly they dont have to move for a better opportunity. They stay where they are. Thats what it does, its a ripple effect. Were going to make sure of one thing, that we buy american. I know i said when im going to only buy american that im somehow going to buy trade agreements. Since the 1930s, a president could decide only an advance. Im going to get to spend something the order of a billion. I guarantee one Thing Vrmt same thing to. Were going to invest in american workers, and thats what were going to do, i promise you. Because Right now that law exists but youre allowed to have exceptions. The last president came along and said, we have a little trouble making sure we can find somebody who is able to put the railings in these new buildings and the stairwells. Guess what . There are a whole lot of americans who make that, so well have a spot where you just call the White House, well find everily. This is all about a choice. A choice between giving Tax Breaks to the super wealthy or working families. I look at this as giving essentially Tax Breaks to hardworking Middle Class and working people who fwhilt country. In my view, its an investment choice. Give to build a modern energy grip. To put engineers and Construction Workers to building bridges. And setting new standards where they have to be built with heavy material and they have to be able to withstand hurricanes and the like, and impact the changing weather. To put plumbers and pipefit terms, Service Lines that are delivering Poison Water to our kids. There are over 400 yes, thats Right. 400,000 have lead pipes going to the schools Right now. And you have over 10 Million homes fed by lead pipes that were laid years and years ago. Were going to rip it all up, make It Safe across america. Its going to provide millions of jobs, thousands of jobs, and its going to provide much more security. Its going to put plumbers and pipefitters to work so every child can work about not. These are the highest Value Investments you can make as a nation. They agree this is a decision we need to make to maintain maintain not just bringing old jobs back but creating new jobs. Up to 16 Million. We cant afford to not spend the time and effort and money. Let me explain how be pay for this because im not a definite fender. We had a Tax Cut the people put in back in 2017 and it created a 200 deficit, with the vast majority of that going back to the top 1 ifly. If we just wanted to shik sure we had the. It would go from 39 to 49 Billion a year. People would still have homes and jet planes. Well be able to put tens of thousands of kid in preschool and in free community college. Whats going to help america more . Increase the educational standard of all americans so from 15 days, no matter what type of background you have, 50 will show up. We also know if you give two years of free college, then youre in a position that you have and every state in america can go that last few years, so you get a recall. Its estimated on crease thely. So, folks, you know, the fact. I come from the corporate state of the world, delaware. More corporations are incorporated in the state of delaware more than any other state in the union combined. But guess what . Im sick and tired of Corporate America not paying for first share. We wanted to reduce it to 28 , make it more competitive. Some thought 24. But it got reduced to 21 . You know what the result is . Some dont pay a penny in tax. Made over 14 Billion dont pay a penny in watch. If your kid is a history teacher r. We chaungd the law. It used to be a corporate ceo got paid 36 times than the average employee. Now its 453 . 5438 is the major stock. Why do you pay back your stock . They get paid in stock options, so if you have ten shares of oc, sell move. The remaining 30some percent goes to dividends which makes sense many, according to the study out of the university of massachusetts. Everything from salaries to employment, research and development, 90 . We used to invest in. We now do investing in research and development. Weve got to compete. It doesnt cost Anybody Anything and deprive anybody of anything they havent earned or deserve. As i just said, were now at a place where they used to pay 35 , its now 21, the way i can pay for this is the 40 billion, for example, just making sure the larger companies dont play Jeer Oand reduce in the Tax Cut between 25 and 27. Thats a couple hundred billion dollars. We can pay for these things. Im not talking about deficit spending. You gave me too much rocket share, but my point is, trickle down Isnt Working. We got a bill from the Bottom Up and out. Thats how We Build america. Thats how we built it so well back in the 60s. A middle Class Family who has a Construction Worker is paying a billiondollar corporation thats making billions of dollars in terms of the rate at which they pay. Look, here we go. The fact is the plans i put forward meets the Middle Class and raises corporate rates. It also lowers at any point since World War ii and its going to generate hundreds of thousands of jobs. Were going to put a lot of folks to work. By the way, how many of you are veterans or have a brother or sister, mother, father who is a veteran . Here in Lake Charles you got a new Veterans Clinic that was built a few years ago beginning when barack and i were in office. Most Va Hospitals are 50 years old or older. Ask your buddies. Ask your buddies. We have more people, more veterans and more of the active military committing suicide every week. Why . Pick up a phone, we have more people packing posttraumatic stress more than anything else. I carry in my pocket my schedule. In the back of my schedule i have u. S. Troop updates, hum people have died in Iraq And Afghanistan not generally over 6,000, 6,000 as of this morning, 927. Every single solitary one of those fallen angels left an entire community behind. Wounded, 53,196 now at roughly 53,000. Guess what . Ask your people, ask around, in your state or any other state. You got a husband, a wife, call them saying she has posttraumatic stress. I need to get her in Right away. We cant see you for three weeks. We dont have enough docs and the building is 53 years old. We have an obligation to invest in that infrastructure. Better docs, more Psychiatric Nurses in order to take care of these things. Look, folks, the Bottom Line here is im going on too long. The american Jobs Plan puts people to work, upgrading Va Hospitals. Let me ask you, whats better for corporation . We can provide jobs for everybody. Its not going to change your standing one Little Bit. Critics worry im going to stunt american growth by raising taxes on not just the wealthy. The experts have looked at it. The last time taxes were where i propose it was in the 90s. The economy boomed. The american economy has had record Job Creation and growth under what im proposing. And the economy does best after everyone pays their fair share. Im making sure it is the best and most significant infrastructure in the world. Its time to grow this economy from the Bottom Up and the middle out. Let me close with this. Infrastructure has historically been a bipartisan undertaking. There is no reason it shouldnt be that way again as the mayor have evidence of and others do. Its about coming together and creating jobs to make it a more competitive world. Whats the first Thing Anyone asks you if they want to put a facility in your city . How close is the interstate . Whats the access to the lake . Whats the water supply. They want to know you have the best infrastructure. Companies and corporations go where they get their market the quickest and the fastest. Were doing everything we can for competition in the 21st century. Im meeting with congress to see, number one, how much theyre willing to go for, what they think are the priorities and how much compromise can be met. What im not ready to do, im not ready to do nothing. The infrastructure we have doesnt change a thing. There is not a damn thing we cant do if we work together. Its about time we work like mayors and officials do, like governors do. I find more support with democratic governor and see governors and mayors around the country because they can answer this question. Could your city be better . We can make it better. May god bless you all and may god protect our troops. Thank you. [ applause ] all Right, president Joe Biden speaking in lake Charles Today as an Infrastructure Roadshow takes him to louisiana, the president already having visited pennsylvania and georgia. I want to bring in Nbc News White House correspondent, my Colleague Monica Alba live in New Orleans. A bridge thats 70 years old, 20 years out of date. But he talked about repairing that bridge in the context of creating jobs, Right . Give us a sense. How does this speech and this appearance Here Today, how does this fit into the overall white House Push for infrastructure . Reporter you said it, jeff. This is where we see two main issues intertwining for the president here, and that is building climate resilient infrastructure, and theres no better example than the state of louisiana. When you look at The Bridges and waterways here, given a grade according to the governor, they got a dplus in terms of infrastructure. This is where the president has come to physically make his case. It wasnt just that backdrop, The Bridge you talk about, but it was attendees who came to make remarks. He had the democratic mayor and the governor there, trying to emphasize the point that there should be a plan to get something done on infrastructure because public polling suggests that and as well with these local lawmakers. This is really why you have him leaving washington. White house officials feel one of the best ways to convince lawmakers in the capitol to perhaps get together and find literal common ground on this is to get out of the city and literally making proposals to the american people. Thats why after the president makes this speech, he is headed to New Orleans where hell be touring a key Water Plant that actually contributed to some recent flooding. Were just weeks away, jeff, from Hurricane Season here at the coast, so its top of mind for many different reasons. Youll hear the President Talk about that. In that speech just now, he also talked about how theyre going to be able to pay for this more than 2 Trillion american Jobs Plan, and he really is making this case for raising taxes on the wealthiest americans and saying that corporations should pay more. The question here is whether bipartisan lawmakers are really going to be able to come to an agreement on tax proposals, because so far that has been elusive. But when we talk about the timeline, the president says he wants to see major progress by memorial day, so just the end of this month with a key meeting next week at the White House. But really, this president believes a lot of work can be done on his plans on the road, and thats why hes traveling Here Today, jeff. Thanks to all three of you for sticking with us through the hour. Our President Talked about how american mayors and governors support his infrastructure push. Put that in the context from what were seeing here in washington where you have these House Republicans who are doing what they can to try to block the biden agenda. They are providing loyalty to Donald Trump. Mike hunter not only introduced President Biden there but wrote an oped in support for his infrastructure plan. Lets understand this disconnect. There it is a disconnect and it really is extraordinary watching the Split Screen where you have the President Talking about building the country back, dealing with infrastructure, and you have the Republicans Skwaub squabbling with Liz Cheney and how loyal theyll be to Donald Trump about the election, and Mitch Mcconnell saying were 100 willing to stop everything theyre doing. There is a reason the President Isnt talking about this particular package, because republicans in general havent been opposed to infrastructure spending. Its not conservative to allow bridges and roads to decay. Its not among the mentally conservative to look the other way from lead pipes. Republicans have pushed Tax Cuts claiming theyre all about jobs, and this was a huge thing. Who is going to put American Blue Collar workers back on the job, and its interesting that the biden folks have emphasized this. Everything is about jobs, jobs, jobs. This is a moment for republicans because this is an incrediby popular bill, but im enthralled by the fact they are going to shove Liz Cheney under the bus because she is a distraction. Theyre criticizing her from being able to move on from the election, but if you go to washington, all of them are doubling down on this Big Lie. So you have Joe Biden talking about how you fix things, how you govern, and you have trump fans showing their loyalty. This is a dangerous moment for republicans. You say, the all but certain decision by House Republicans to oust chair Liz Cheney looks like one of those historical hinge moments, a party solidifying around the idea of loyalty to a single person rather than to policy and ideas. Whats happening here . Donald trump is a Fundraising Spigot and they dont want that to end. He also brings out the base and they want that to end on january 6. So Liz Cheney bringing up january 6, it puts the Talking Points back on the lie, back on the insurrection, back on the dark part of this republican gop history, and its barely history, its just been a few months. So, you know, theyre trying to raise money off of trump. They want to fundraise with trump. They want him to endorse their candidates. They want him to bring on the base. At the same time they dont want to have to answer for the insurrection and they dont want to have to answer for are the Big Lie, and they want everyone to pivot when it comes to the tough questions. Like what you saw with Mitch Mcconnell and seeing the same words out of his mouth, he wasnt acknowledging that cheney would do the same Thing Mcconnell was doing while he gets punched in the nose by trump every other day. When hes asked about it, he basically gets a blank look and says something totally different. Yeah, yeah. Congresswoman cheney, it appears, is speaking to the History Books rather than the next election. My thanks to the three of you. Still ahead, the republican effort to restrict the Right to vote in a number of states. This legislation hurts voters of color, hurts young voters, hurts voters with disabilities. These lawmakers should not be passing this legislation. We have two reporters in two states that are moving forward with laws that will make it harder to cast a ballot. Im going to sign it Right here and it will take effect. The bill is signed. Florida governor Ron Desantis signed sweeping new Voting Restrictions into law this morning live on Fox News. The network built it as an exclusive. They were the only media allowed in the room. Desantis said it was needed to stop election fraud. There were Protests Today in texas where Voting Access is already highly restricted, and yet State Lawmakers there are considering two new bills that would restrict voting even more. In fact, republican lawmakers across the country are pushing new Voting Restrictions, 361 restrictive bills introduced in 47 states since the 2020 election. Joining me now is nbc News Correspondent Sam Brock who is in miami and nbc News Correspondent Priscilla Thompson who is in austin. Priscilla, ill start with you. Whats happening where you are in texas where these two new bills are now under consideration . Reporter Right. Well, the house was expected to be talking about House Bill 6, that restrictive voting bill today, but i will tell you while it was first on the docket this morning, they have not gotten to it yet. They have been discussing other things, wrapping up some things from yesterday. Then they adjourned for lunch. So sources tell us this could mean there are some conversations going on behind the scenes, perhaps some dealmaking on those more than 100 amendments that democrats are proposing to this bill which, as you can imagine, would have taken hours to get through and were now into the afternoon. Again, this bill has not been brought up into the conversation. Even so there are those demonstrators, those voting givf their opposition to this bill, they have sitting in that Chamber Gallery all day, as lawmakers have been working their way through these other bills and measures, and they are waiting for that bill to come up, they want to see what lawmakers are going to do, what amendments are going to be accepted, and really how things will turn out here. Jeff . And sam, that Ron Desantis Event Today was clearly designed for a Fox News constituency. Talk about us about the new Voting Restrictions that are now law in florida . What changes are in store for florida voters and whats been the reaction so far . Reporter jeff, good question, good afternoon. Im glad to be with you. The republicancontrolled legislature commissioned a survey of all the 67 Election Supervisors in the 67 counties all over the state and asked them what examples of Voter Fraud have you seen in recent years and what problems have you encountered . All of the ones that responded, the vast majority said no Voter Fraud, were good. What happens . A complete overhaul of Voting Laws in the state of florida that was signed into law by Governor Desantis in a bizarre exclusive Fox News setting at 8 45 this morning. Youre seeing a list on your screen of some of the components of this controversial law, jeff, it limits the use of drop boxes, adds more i. D. Requirements for people requesting Absentee Ballots, requires voters to renew Absentee Ballot requests previously going through two straight election cycles and expand items with the tempt to influence voters which could include food an water. A few hours ago the governor held a press conference. Some of the stuff going on in other parts of the country where youd have these big private groups come in and spend hundreds of millions of dollars to run elections, that is unacceptable.
