Because executing a Search Warrant doesnt necessarily mean that giuliani will ultimately be charged. Anything that would come after morning hinge on that. Its possible that evidence of crimes committed by other people could be found on giulianis devices, but at least for now the question is whether the government will charge giuliani and whether hell then cooperate against other individuals. You had mentioned something very specific, the execution of a Search Warrant. We know that giuliani has been on tv saying that agents showed up at 6 00 a. M. And banging on the door and the word raid has been used. Youre saying executing a Search Warrant. What is the difference . You know, raid is a convenient word for people who write headlines because there are four letters in raid. Tricks of the trade. Joyce knows. It implies an element of criminality or lawlessness that is not the case when these warrants are being executed. These are Search Warrants that are backed by probable cause. Prosecutors and agents develop the evidence and then they have to take it to a federal judge who uses their independent judgment, the judge is no way beholden to the Justice Department, and its only after that judge agrees that doj has probable cause to believe a crime has been committed and that the government will find evidence regarding that crime in the location they want to search, that these what sometimes popularly called raids go ahead. Theyre a part of the constitutional system of justice. Thank you for making that distinction. Lets go big picture here. Lets talk about when giulianis attorney said he believes hes being investigated for and thats a foreign agents registration act violation. Can you talk about what that act says and what a potential violence would mean . Its hard to know for certain what is at stake here. Its possible that the violations are involved. This is a rarely charged crime that involves failure to register as an agent for a Foreign Government or someone in a foreign country. The notion behind the statute its important for both our government for the American People to understand when an american is advocating for certain policies, if theyre in the payment of Foreign Government, it could be Important Information for us to have. So giuliani, who at least gives the appearance of having been working for ukrainians, failed to register and thats one possible charge. Thats not the whole universe, though. Theres an array of Campaign Finance violations or even potentially conspiracies involving the election and its administration. I think premature to speculate about what the government is actually pursuing here. Were going to speculate a little bit further. Giuliani, as cory highlighted, hasnt been charged with anything yet. Is there any reason other people in trump world should be worried or concerned given the events that took place this week . I think that has to be our ultimate speculation here. Even though for now its a speculation. The risk is that rudy giuliani, a former u. S. Attorney who understands the consequences of going to prison wont want to see it in his future. Perhaps spending the remaining years he has in prison. Hes also well aware that one way to avoid doing that, if charged, to provide the government with information about crimes committed by others. And the way that works is going up stream. The obvious person would be in giulianis headlights would be President Trump. If he has any information, we dont know whether he does or not, about criminality, that would be the coin he would be able to use to avoid custodial sentence, perhaps. All right. We have Breaking News about another Fatal Shooting this time in wisconsin. Three people are dead including the suspected gunman after the incident after the casino near green bay. They found there were five gunshots, four to the arm, one to the back of the head, which ultimately claimed his life. This as at the same time right now no one has been charged in browns death. The body camera footage hasnt been released publicly. The family viewed what they said is roughly 20 seconds of it. According to a judges order, it can no more than three weeks from where the public may be able to view it. The family is supposed to be able to see it within 10 days of the ruling, which is this saturday. Last summer the federal unemployment helped out a lot, a lot of people. It was needed. I think up until a certain point, its still been needed. I think a lot of people do need it. I dont know exactly why theres exactly such a huge labor shortage. I think there are far smarter people on your shows than me, to figure out the whys. I just know its happening. Were at the point where we have three restaurants, manhattan, palm beach and new york. Palm beach has been in full season for months and were closing on wednesdays because we dont have the staff. We close one day a week to give everybody time off. That is just beyond. I know youre doing different efforts to try to staff up as well as other restaurants across the country. You have started offering some bonuses. The person who gets through training also gets 250. If that person stays for two months, they get another 500 after two months. These are benefits for people which is nothing compared to some things other restaurants are doing. Other places are giving College Tuition for people who come and stay at their places. Its a real thing. The upside for me is im super optimistic about it. I think were in a place where things are about to kind of explode all over the country, particularly the bigger cities. I think new york is bursting at the seams. I think my friends in l. A. Are telling me its bursting. I think in the next couple months well see a real change. I think the workforce is going to be bouncing back in a big way. Do you think the shortage is there because so many people left the city during the pandemic when restaurants like yours closed in july of last year, so many people that were doing these jobs said bye . Thats a really great point. One of the things i was talking about with another restauranteur last night. So many of our employees restaurants are very often an entry level job. People get them when theyre young, when theyre right out of school. I know a ton of the guys and girls and women that work for us in manhattan, they all jumped ship out of the city, went back to their parents house where they could get through the pandemic. Were starting to see them come back. Its going to be an interesting moment. New york, rents took a hit, so i think some of those people are starting to come back from what im hearing. I think youre absolutely right. I think a lot of people jumped out of the big cities and went back to where it was for lack of a better expression a little safer.
