not really about the virus. >> it's such a major piece of legislation. it's the most significant change for middle class people, for poor people, people trying to get into the middle class in decades in a very long time. it has amazing things in it. >> if everybody is vaccinated by june, then it's clearly not related to covid. there is $350 billion for state and local government. california is getting $41 billion. that $41 billion is not related to covid, it's related to kind of helping a blue state. >> meanwhile, a humanitarian crisis is growing at the u.s./mexico border. fema ordered to help shelter and transfer a record number of child migrants. the biden administration addressing this situation last hour right here on my show. >> when you look at the past four years, just the rule inhumane way that the last administration moved forward with immigration, it did not enhance our security at all. and so now we're in a situation where, you know, this president and the administration, they want to make sure that we move forward with a humane immigration system that's also lawful. and so that is what we are working towards. >> and jury selection resumes tomorrow in the murder trial of derek chauvin in the death of george floyd. seven more jurors are needed after seven jurors have been seated. four thus far are white, three are people of color, two are women. later on this hour we'll take a look at the jury's makeup and how that could make up the trial. we have nbc reporters in place with all the details from wilmington to washington. we'll begin with monica alba in delaware. monica, what can we expect to hear from the biden administration during this tour? >> reporter: well, really, alex, the aim is for it to be more of an educational one as opposed to, they say, a victory lap even though they're going to tout this legislative success. the president, the vice president and others are going to attempt to explain to the american people exactly what's in this giant $1.9 trillion covid relief package. they believe many people are familiar with the headlines, the $1,400 stimulus payments and some of the other things but maybe not everybody understands the full extent of the child tax credit or enhanced child tax credit or the money directed to schools for vaccine distribution. so they want to get into the specifics and nitty-gritty on this and go to places outside of washington, d.c., in order to do that. there is a strategic decision-making reason to do that. they're going to states where there are competitive senate races for democrats in the next year and a half. they're setting this up to be beneficial in addition to, of course, the policy play. and you heard earlier on your program, white house spokeswoman karine jean-pierre talk about that and why they want to hit the road in a way we have not seen this white house do in the first 50 plus days. >> this is a critical moment. this is a moment where we have to make sure that the american people know what's in this plan. and so there's so many things in this bill that meets the moment that we are in that he's going to hit the road as well with the vice president, the first lady, the second gentleman. respectively they're going to crisscross this country and talk about the plan, talk about how we're going to implement this plan, talk about the funding that's in this plan, the resources in the plan that's going to move forward even further. >> reporter: the first event actually takes place at the white house tomorrow, alex, where they're going to be discussing the implementation. the white house hasn't announced yet, though, who they're going to put in charge of that process. back in 2009, the then vice president, joe biden, was the one in charge of trying to roll out the recovery act. but even he admitted just in the last couple of weeks that they made some mistakes with that process compared to where they are now. that's why he wants to get out and talk to americans, he says, in order to not repeat what they did in the past. we're not clear if that will be somebody like vice president harris tasked with that giant order of business or somebody else in the administration. that's something the white house has not revealed yet but we do expect to learn in the coming days. >> monica alba, thank you very much so much from wilmington. let's go from there to capitol hill where fresh off their first legislative victory, democrats are now plotting their next move. let's go to nbc's amanda golen who joins me right next. what is next on the docket, amanda? >> reporter: in light of the $1.9 trillion covid relief bill there are a number of things to push forward on but as we saw, there was no republican support and very narrowly were all democrats on board. we saw those fractions take place within the democratic party between progressives and moderates. so as congressional democrats are moving forward, a couple of key issues they're looking to address in the coming weeks, infrastructure and immigration. we heard from pelosi in the last few days around infrastructure. she wanted chairs within the committees of the house to work with republicans in order to craft that legislation. that's a real indication they are trying to get bipartisan support. we heard from senate majority leader chuck schumer hearing about how he wants to put forward a few priorities for senate democrats. they want to address climate, racial and economic inequality as well as democracy and saying that infrastructure would fit into all of those three areas. but they would need bipartisan support to push any of this through into law. we got a real snapshot of that from senator john barrasso on the sunday shows earlier this morning as to whether or not he thinks bipartisanship can actually be accomplished. >> i'd really like to see bipartisanship on infrastructure because i chaired the committee in the last congress that passed the highway bill. we also did the water bill, all of the issues of water as well as highway infrastructure. it was bipartisan. bernie sanders voted for it and so did i. we got it to the house and what did the house do? they replaced our highway bill with the green new deal. if they would take the model that we came up with in the committee in the senate for highway and transportation, i think that's a very good start. >> reporter: so you hear some optimism there from barrasso saying that he thinks it can move forward but the house is pushing progressive ideas and legislation that wouldn't make it through once it gets to the senate. this all comes as the house this week is taking up a few immigration bills addressing dreamers' citizenship as well as visa programs for agricultural workers in the united states. but again, once it gets over to the senate there needs to be bipartisan support to push things forward. they cannot use that reconciliation process to go it alone just as democrats. they can't use that process for every single piece of legislation. >> let me ask you about gop lawmakers heading to the u.s./mexico border. what's in the ether about that? >> reporter: we've seen unaccompanied migrants coming through and a 28% increase of illegal crossings in the last month. those numbers are just over 3,200 unaccompanied children at the border currently in cbp custody. dhs is putting fema forward to start intervening to help shelter and move along the children into other kinds of protective care but it's becoming a political issue. we're seeing house minority leader kevin mccarthy is going down to the border just near el paso, texas, tomorrow with a group of republicans to try to shine light on this issue and blame it on president biden. biden and democrats are trying to work through this process while at the same time keeping hold and upholding their promises around trying to make the immigration systems more humane. i spoke with speaker pelosi as she came by to do morning shows earlier today and she said she didn't know what his point was going to do this trip of leader mccarthy. so trying to move forward, she wants to address that this was also an issue under the trump administration that now the biden administration is trying to pick up the pieces with as opposed to mccarthy trying to put blame onto the white house, alex. >> okay, amanda golden, thank you so much. joining me now congresswoman sherri bustos who serves on the appropriations and agriculture committees. nice to see you again. let's talk about the next big item, infrastructure. after you saw the republican opposition to the relief package, which definitely had widespread popularity among americans, do you have confidence that not just infrastructure but potentially any of your caucus legislative goals can be passed on a bipartisan basis? >> well, i have hope, and we always have to continue to try. keep in mind, alex, i come from a congressional district as a democrat that donald trump won both in 2016 and 2020. there's only seven democrats left in those double trump districts, so i can tell you to our core, because of the places that we're from, i'm talking to today from moline, illinois, we understand the importance of the american public wanting us to work together. so i think we absolutely have to try. if you look at all 435 congressional districts, all 50 states and our territories, there's no place where there are not deep infrastructure needs, whether it is rural broadband or severe deterioration of our roads and our bridges. mississippi river is right out here to my left and literally if i look out my window right there, i can see a billion dollar bridge going up right now from the state of illinois to the state of iowa. i can tell you we need much more of that all over this country. we've got to come together on this. >> let me make an observation. if you managed to survive an election with donald trump winning both of the last presidential elections in your district, you're doing something right and your people must really like you there, your constituents. let me ask you about the reporting today from nbc news about how some of your democratic colleagues in the house are drawing the line at working with republicans. those who voted not to certify the election. do you think you can't work with republicans for the same reason? >> well, you know, i have a saying, and i always attribute this to bobby kennedy. i can't verify that it is bobby kennedy, but it's forgive and remember. i share that because, look, we've got to -- as we move forward and increasingly there will be a requirement that we work together because of our very, very narrow majorities in both the house and the senate. you know, we can't forget what happened on january 6th. i was on the house floor that day. i've never -- none of us had ever been through anything like that in our lives, unless you're a combat veteran. and thank god we had some combat veterans among our colleagues who helped us get through that, along with capitol police who saved our lives that day, along with the national guard who helped give us peace of mind afterward. but we've got close to 140 democrats who didn't vote to certify the election results. i think that was incredibly wrong that they did that. it was not healthy for our democracy, but we've got to move forward and, again, i -- that's where i come from. it's my politics to try to do my best to move forward and figure out answers to things. i think we have to -- again, when i see some of these -- i don't even wanting to bring up names, but there are some people who practice this performance politics as opposed to results politics. we've got to get to results. i think if we look ahead to the midterms two years from now, if we as democrats are going to hang on to this majority, this very narrow slim majority in both the house and hopefully grow that 50-50 split in the senate, we're going to have to show results. i think we can take a page out of president biden's playbook and say, hey, let's get past the name calling, let's get past the hyperpartisanship in washington, d.c., and let's get results for the american public. >> change the tenor there in washington. let's take a listen to what senator barrasso said about the covid relief bill. here it is. >> to call this covid relief is really false advertising. only 9% of the money goes to defeating the virus, only 1% of the money goes for vaccines. this is a nancy pelosi payoff to the liberal left. >> what's your reaction to that? speaking of nancy pelosi, she said wrong. 90% of this covid relief bill goes directly to the constituents relative to covid. how, for example, will this bill directly benefit your constituents? >> well, as we sit here and have this conversation, we right now have 113,000 kids who have not been back to school full time for the past year. it was exactly one year ago today, this is an anniversary day today where we had our first covid case in this congressional district i serve. we have families hurting. we have 26,000 children who live in poverty. this bill lifts children out of poverty. it gets kids back to school. it helps our small businesses that desperately need our help. i could not disagree more with senator barrasso. it's time to get past calling everything a pelosi plan or whatever they want to do. i cannot be labeled as somebody who's this far left whatever his name calling was. it's time to get results. this bill, despite the fact that we did not get any bipartisan support, is going to help our towns, our cities, our states, red or blue states. democrats or republican governors. it's going to help give us a sense of normalcy. what was most exciting to me to listen to president biden speak on thursday was when he talked about fourth of july, and how his hope that we're going to be able to get back together. it's like the first image that comes to mind for me is the old saying christmas in july. you know, when he leaned in and said i need you. i need you and he's bringing in the american public to say we've all got to come together on this. i'll do a shoutout to senator barrasso and others. let's come together, let's be results oriented. let's stop this name calling and stop acting about everything in this is partisan. this will help democrats, republicans, small famiies and businesses. it does not matter if you have a d or an r next to any of those. help is not only on its way, we are all here. >> and we are all americans. congresswoman bustos, thanks for your time. drilling down on the jury selection process in the derek chauvin trial. what you haven't heard about how it's going, next. ut how it's going, next lur when they jumped the median. there was nothing i could do. >> well, this is going to be a jury selection that's different from all other jury selections because the eyes of the world are on this case and there's a lot of external pressure on the judge, on this jury to get to an outcome that will be satisfying to the community itself. and so the lawyers are trying to strike a delicate balance. they have 15 pre'em tore challenges for the defense, nine for the prosecution. they're trying to get jurors to look at their side impartially without using tomorrow of those preemptory challenges. they'd like to strike more jurors for cause, for actually showing that they will not be able to be partial. >> so the judge having given a racial breakdown of the jurors already selected, how much does race play a role in a jury in a case like this? does the jurors' race necessarily mean they will favor any particular side? is there any way to calculate that? >> well, to be clear, it is unconstitutional to strike a juror solely because of his or her race so that's not permitted at all. you actually have to have reasons beyond race in order to strike them. obviously this is a case that is incredibly racially charged and both sides will be looking for jurors that have very clear views about racial violence by the police and police interactions with the community so a number of jurors have been dismissed for cause because they have either displayed sympathy to the black lives matters movement or they have been incredibly sympathetic to the experience of police officers. all of that will play into it but race itself cannot be a reason for removing a juror. >> we expect each legal team to want sympathetic jurors, but for our viewers let's listen to some of the questions that these lawyers have asked. take a listen, everyone. >> and so if you needed the police, you would like to know that you could pick up the phone, call, and that they would be available to help. it sounds like you have a strong respect for law enforcement, is that fair? >> would you be able to proudly say to your friends and facebook followers and family members, i was a juror who found mr. chauvin not guilty. >> are these the kinds of questions you would expect to hear if you heard anything so far that would create problems, potentially down the road if one side appeals the outcome of the case? >> everything is up for appeal depending on how the outcome of this trial goes. but again, these were questions aimed at trying to suss out whether a prospective juror has a predisposition toward the defense or toward the prosecution. whether they are favorably disposed towards the police, inclined to give police the benefit of the doubt or to the opposite, inclined to see the police as a force of violence that is likely to be used in extreme situations and exceed the necessary use of force in those occasions. that's what i think the attorneys are trying to target here, individuals who have extreme views on either side. >> so we have opening statements scheduled for march 29th. this is likely going to be broadcast on television. what are the pros and cons of that? >> well, this is the first time that a trial like this has been broadcast in minneapolis. typically in minnesota there aren't cameras in the courtroom. there are cameras here because of the pandemic you can't have the press in the courtroom in the way that you would ordinarily have. so again, this is going to heighten emotions around this trial. this is something that normally would be mediated through press reporting on the event but now we're actually going to see this in realtime like court tv, so that's going to make it even mow charged. i think it's going to make it a little more fraught and the eyes of the world will be on this courtroom. >> can i ask about the $27 million civil settlement that the city is paying to george floyd's family. can that be used in any way, pro or con, in the trial? >> well, it will certainly be in the background here. again, you have on the one hand the criminal charges which are brought against mr. chauvin by the state of minnesota itself. the charges in the civil suit is wrongful death brought by the family. that's a very separate and distinct charge. they can run concurrently, we saw that with o.j. simpson, for example. but the fact that it was settled in advance of the criminal trial i think is meaningful. again, it will be hard to determine whether or not jurors will go into the jury box without thinking about that settlement in advance. >> melissa murray, always good to see you. thank you so much. the young and the maskless. spring break at the beach. are they throwing caution to the wind? >> reporter: yeah, alex, not only one year ago today was the first confirmed covid death in new york city but three days prior the world health organization had just declared a global pandemic. you and i both know that new york was in for a really dark time. here at bellevue hospital, the oldest hospital in the city, they were retrofitting rooms to make them good for covid patients essentially. they couldn't even make the turnover fast enough. as soon as one patient would leave a room, someone else would come in. there was even a line people were waiting here. the director of nursing here tells me it was crazy. and then there was this, mobile morgues outside the hospital. refrigerated trucks, rows of white tents here. at the peak of the pandemic, new york had had a record more than 1,000 deaths from covid. so you fast forward one year later, here we are, cases are down, hospitalizations and deaths are down. but after all is said and done so far, new yorkers have seen 1.7 million confirmed cases. nearly 50,000 deaths. so today is that day of remembrance. for the director of nursing here at the icu, who was in here day in, day out during that peak, it's an emotional one. >> we -- you know, we dealt with a lot of sadness. we watched people come here for help. we watched people pass, unfortunately. but we were always there with them. excuse me. it was very challenging to see nurses, doctors, people who walk into this building every day who gave it all, sacrificed -- who sacrificed themselves for the good of others. >> reporter: and they held a moment of silence yesterday for all the victims, including eight of their own colleagues, four nurses here in fact. but, alex, there is hope. 20% of new yorkers have already been vaccinated. that director of nursing and his wife, they are expecting a baby in may, so kind of a symbol there of new beginnings here for the city, alex. >> that was hard to listen to, though. can i just say one thing, that sign behind you where it says heroes work here, that needs to stay up forever because it is 100% the truth. thank you so much, lindsey, for that. let's bring in dr. bedelia and dr. john torres. i have the highest amount of respect and esteem for the two of you guys given what you guys do. dr. torres, just over a year ago coronavirus was declared a national emergency. what do you think you've learned over this past year? >> alex, you know, i think the thing not just i learned but everybody learned including the scientists is just how tricky this virus is and how tricky it can be. if you look at the sheer numbers themselves, we're talking 119 million cases around the world. 2.6 million deaths around the world. focusing here on the united states, 29 million cases, over 500,000 deaths. that's just in a one-year time period after declaring the pandemic. and so we knew this would affect us, we knew it would affect the country and the world. i don't think we knew just how much it would and what we need to do to get through it. but we've also learned that science has worked really well here as far as getting the vaccine, getting that virus time, genotype, and getting the word out to people. we've also learned that word can be confusing and people often didn't understand what that word was. and because of that misunderstanding, mistrust came about as well and that caused some issues as well, alex. >> yeah, we are not out of the woods yet. in fact dr. fauci discussed the possibility of yet another covid surge. this was on "meet the press" this morning. let's take a listen to him. >> even though the decline was steep, we absolutely need to avoid the urge to say, oh, everything is going great, which it is going in the right direction. but once you declare victory, you know, that metaphor that people say, if you're going for a touchdown, don't spike the ball on the 5 yard line, wait until you get into the end zone, and we're not in the end zone yet. that's one of the issues that when you plateau, there's always the risk of a surge. that's exactly what the europeans have experienced. >> you know, that football apal -- analogy is a really good one. what are your thoughts on people letting their guard down especially as we head into spring break season. we were showing people on the beach, that is current video. there they are right there. how many masks do you see? i see not one, just saying. so what are your thoughts? >> i'm not even a football fan and i actually agree with that analogy, i got it. it's that idea of, look, a lot of things are going well. white house advisor andy slavitt said about 15% of the u.s. population has had two doses. we still have many vulnerable people, people with medical conditions who have not been vaccinated. even if everybody has a vaccine available by may 1st, it would take time to get everybody vaccinated. the concern is not so much the outdoor activities, the concern is there are going to be people doing this traveling who are likely to be younger, won't be vaccinated. they're going to travel and stay together in homes, maybe indoor activities. those are bigger concerns for potential spread. and so we do have to hold it together. we're so close, we can't drop the ball now. >> dr. torres, i don't know if you're a baseball fan but you've got a lot of texas rangers fans. they plan to go early next month to opening day and they're going to allow 100% capacity potentially. that's 40,000 plus people there. what are your thoughts on that? >> alex, i think the best way to describe it is a lot of head scratching going on. you're looking at what's going on around the world. what dr. fauci was talking about particularly, what happened in italy, they opened up too robustly, too quickly and now they're having to pull back on that. using his football analogy, we've gotten to the 20 yard line before and had to get back to the 50. we've gotten to the 10 yard line and back to the 50 again. now we're at the 5 yard line. we don't want to go back again. we've already had three surges. we don't want this fourth surge. with different states opening up and things like this opening up, texas rangers getting people in there next to each other, probably not wearing masks and most of them not vaccinated at this point, that's just that spark that could start the firestorm that we don't want to have start again. we don't want that fourth surge and things like this will push us toward that fourth surge. hopefully not. >> the texas rangers want people to wear masks. whether they comply is another thing. let me point out, a bit earlier on the broadcast we were just talking about this and then we in an ill-timed way played former president george w. bush and he said i can't wait to get back to opening day at texas stadium, there's going to be full capacity. we understand he's a baseball fan and part owner of the team back in the day. but the reality is, and i'll have to ask you of you, if the former president goes to the game and he's sitting in like a vip skybox kind of thing, does that allow the kind of protection that he could take off his mask or would you say, mr. president, please keep your mask on? >> alex, i think the cdc guidelines on this are very clear. if you're vaccinated, you can take your mask off around other people who are vaccinated, so it depends who's in that box with him and how protected they are and if any of them are high risk. but i think the president should wear -- the ex-president should wear the mask just because it's a better example to set because so many of us are not vaccinated yet. but the cdc guidelines are if everybody in that box is low risk, in one household which they won't be and all of them are vaccinated, take the mask off. otherwise keep the mask on. >> what about travel, dr. torres. we saw 1.4 million flyers passing through u.s. airports on friday. that is the most of any day during the pandemic. you wrote going forward, when covid-19 vaccinations are widely available, some type of vaccine certificate or passport will likely be needed, not only for travel abroad but possibly even to get into sporting events, hotels or possibly a cruise ship. what do you say to anyone on the fence about getting a vaccine knowing that it may become a requirement to do certain activities? >> at one point it might become a requirement, especially to get on cruise ships or go to other countries. other countries are talking about not necessarily making it a strict requirement, that if you do come in without a vaccine, you'll have to quarantine for 14 days which would obviously make it prohibitive for most people to go. we're not quite at the level where we can get those vaccine passports to people easily. but at the same time if you want to travel, if you want to start opening up your life and specific if you want to protect your community, get that vaccine. i can't say that enough, alex. >> okay. i would agree with you, dr. john torres and dr. bedelia. thank you both for weighing in. appreciate it. coming up next, you're about to hear the sounding of joy. people who are finally seeing covid relief money show up in their bank accounts. >> i think it was a nice surprise to see that it came so soon and it couldn't come at a better time. >> my phone got a notification saying that the irs had direct deposited. i was on the phone with my mom. i'm like, mom, i got money! i have some bills that are behind obviously, so those are all already caught up. i got all of those caught up this morning. this morning ant to make e best b? will republicans be allowed to have it both ways? >> it's a great question, and i think the fact that we've seen somewhat minimal pushback to this bill so far among republicans in congress indicates that they are reluctant to go after something that is so broadly popular among the american people. there was a poll released yesterday by cbs that showed that 71% of americans believe that this stimulus package will indeed help the american middle class. how can you message against that if you're a vulnerable republican heading into a midterm cycle? and i think there's also the georgia factor here. a lot of republicans think that they lost both senate races in georgia because they didn't give aid to americans when they needed it most and that they were critical of efforts to do so. and so they're somewhat biting their tongues this time around and it is going to be difficult for them to campaign against this when they go back to their districts. >> i finding the level of hypocrisy absolutely stunning. roger wicker votes against it, as every republican did, and then goes out on twitter to communicate with his constituents this is great for you and here's why. here's what you're going to get. it's just kind of stunning when you think about that, eugene, and the fact that speaker pelosi was only among a few officials selling this relief package on the talk shows this morning, was that deliberate? is there a bigger issue here that they're having to deal with? >> i think that for republicans, yes, gabby is completely right that there is almost no way to message against this, especially because everyone keeps trying to compare the 2009 stimulus and this stimulus and what happened after that. but the big difference is that this money is going -- a lot of this money is going into people's pockets. it is going to child tax credit. they are getting stimulus checks. they are going to continue to get extra unemployment benefits. and so republicans, they spend a lot of time talking about a lot of other things and not this. they have talked about how this is going to balloon the national debt and they talked about the deficit. we see this every time there's a democrat in the white house. we see republicans kind of find their religion on the deficit. the difference is, the four years of the trump presidency, he didn't care about that, right? >> right. they lost their religion then, that's for sure, allowing the deficit to balloon. >> and so that changes the way that the base of the party thinks about it as well, right? and so you have the base of the republican party who also doesn't really care about the deficit. and so selling that is going to be difficult. this is a gamble for both republicans and democrats. republicans are hoping there's going to be a heating up of the economy. democrats are just banking on people are going to get this money and be happy and this is going to help and continue the growth that we've been seeing -- >> it's funny, you made the religious comparison and i have to say during the time that the republicans were in charge and the deficit was balloons, i was like did the republicans lose one of their ten commandments? they seem to have lost their way on that one. gabby, i want to ask what you think this week looks like. president biden and vice president harris are hitting the road this week, going to sell the bill. i'm curious what those events will look like. will it be all cheers and clapping and good times? are there any concerns about protests being organized to combat or downplay the success of the american relief bill? >> it's hard to envision any type of protests taking place as they go around the country to sell this. i think they'll strategically pick communities where this bill is really intended to lift americans out of the economic pain that they have been facing for, you know, over a year now. again, if republicans, elected republicans are having trouble going back to their districts and finding a way to criticize this before their constituents and craft a compelling message against this bill, it's really difficult to envision that there would be some type of organized protest against it as the president and vice president make their way around the country to sell it. >> okay, eugene, i know that your colleagues have been pointing out at this time in office, trump had given five news conferences, obama two, george w. bush three, bill clinton five. so far joe biden has given zero. but does this matter to the voters that he might see this week, or is this one or more of these inside d.c., inside the beltway grievances? >> according to twitter and the people that we've been talking about, they don't care. this is not something that kind of people outside of our little d.c. bubble really care about. however, you know, one of the things that's really important to democracy is reporters being able to ask the most powerful people in this country questions and holding them accountable. you know, it's clear that this white house sees that they continue kind of what trump did. go around the press and go straight to the american people. on something like this, that probably works. you don't need us to dictate to the american people what that looks like. what we hear from administration officials and we ask, you know, when are we going to get a press conference, when is he going to take a lot more questions than he does right after any kind of event and they say he's focused on this work and essentially we'll get to a press conference when we get to it. they point always to those questions that he takes after he speaks, which we know aren't the exact same. this white house is going to kind of keep that going this week. he's going to do some national and local interviews. the vice president will be doing that as well. and they don't seem to need, they don't seem to see a need for a press conference at this point. >> something, gabby, that you co-wrote this week, trump was supposed to be a political godzilla in exile. instead he's adrift. you say he's disorganized and torn between the role of antagonist and party leader. tell us what you found out in putting this article together. >> well, in speaking with people who are relatively close to the president and down in his orbit in mar-a-lago, they all say that there's really been difficulty by the president to kind of choose where he wants to go with his post-presidential activities. does he want to be the republican king maker that we've heard so many party officials say that he's quite capable of being. does he want to cooperate with party committees like the rnc and nrcs and help re-elect incumbent republicans or does he want to spend the next six months to a year pursuing vengeance against the republicans who he perceives as disloyal, against the republicans who didn't support his quest to overturn the 2020 election results. we've just seen in the last week that he is really vacillating between these two positions. he can't seem to make up his mind and that's causing a lot of confusion for his allies who are trying to see how he uses his leadership pac to support candidates, which candidates he's endorsing, and also on messaging, just to see where he goes. is he cooperative, is he pro republican party or is he that antagonist that he seemed to delight in being as president. the one thing that we know about this president and even when he was president is that a lot of -- he is great with vengeance. he loves to get revenge on people. that's going to be the through line that we're going to see. people that he sees who haven't been loyal enough to him. and that's something that we're going to continue to see in these primaries as they start to take place. >> okay, eugene daniels and gabby orr, it's good to see you both. it's the moment many californians have been waiting for. we'll take you to one of the hottest tourist spots in america for those details, next. tails, . ♪ hey now, you're a rock star, get the show on, get paid ♪ ♪ and all that glitters is gold ♪ get 5 boneless wings for $1 with any handcrafted burger. only at applebee's. what do we want for dinner?
