Most RI Republican legislators won't say if they plan to get COVID vaccine Patrick Anderson, The Providence Journal Political skirmishes haven't broken out in Rhode Island over vaccine skepticism like they have in other states, but Republicans here remain quieter than Democrats on the question of whether to get COVID-19 shots. In response to a Journal inquiry, three of the 14 Republicans in the Rhode Island General Assembly said they had been or were planning to get vaccinated. House GOP Leader Blake Filippi of Block Island was the only other lawmaker to respond, writing: "Respectfully, I won’t respond to any query that seeks details on such personal and private medical decisions."
