More COVID cases reported in Ridgefield schools FacebookTwitterEmail RIDGEFIELD — School officials said they learned of more COVID-19 cases Monday and late last week. Monday morning, district officials said they learned a member of the Branchville Elementary School community had tested positive, according to a letter from Aaron Crook, the district’s COVID-19 health and safety compliance liaison. That person had last been in the building “while potentially infectious to others” on Friday, Crook said. Two staff members were instructed to quarantine for 10 days as a result. Later that afternoon, another person at the school tested positive. “In school transmission in this case cannot be ruled out,” Crook said.
