An Alabama State Trooper was jailed on felony sex crimes in connection with an off-duty incident involving a child.
Christopher Bauer, 41, was placed on mandatory leave after the allegations against him were brought to Montgomery police, police Capt. Saba Coleman and Trooper Jeremy Burkett said in news releases late Tuesday.
Bauer was charged with first-degree sodomy, sexual abuse of a child younger than 12 and another felony sex crime.
Court records filed in the cases say the incidents of abuse occurred sometime between the beginning of March and Friday at his Montgomery home.
Warrants were filed against Bauer about 8:15 p.m. Tuesday. He was served that paperwork about 90 minutes later.
