Montgomery County voters decide two district judge contests, set stage for November battles in three others

NORRISTOWN — Two of the five contests for magisterial district court judge posts in Montgomery County during this year’s elections essentially were decided by voters during Tuesday’s primary election but voters set the stage for November battles in three other contests, according to unofficial results.
In the contest for judge in Magisterial District Court 38-2-09 in Norristown, incumbent Gregory Scott, 34, won a second term as he was the top vote-getter on both the Democratic and Republican ballots and appeared to hold off a challenge from lawyer Todd N. Barnes, 43, an assistant district attorney in the appellate division of the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, according to unofficial results.
