Monica Zoltanski becomes Sandy mayor-elect; city council certifies election

When a razor-thin margin emerged between Monica Zoltanski and Jim Bennett after canvassing, council members refused to certify the results. After Utah Lt. Gov. Deidre Henderson’s office confirmed the results didn’t qualify for a further recount, the Sandy City Council voted to certify them.
