That means the area along Marcola Road would be assigned a full-time sheriff's deputy who would be responsible for covering the same area as the Mohawk Valley Rural Fire District currently serves. The average Mohawk Valley homeowner would have to pay an additional $121.42 per year, or about $10.12 per month, according to Lane County's website.
