(WHEC) — The Rochester Teachers Association president did not attend a planned meeting with a group of parent leaders Thursday because he says he felt "ambushed." The clock is ticking as school is set to start in the Flower City Monday. Some parents say it’s time to get back in the classroom while some district officials and other parents say they aren't ready. Parents who have graduated from the Parent Leadership Training Institute hosted the meeting Thursday afternoon to express how they want their students back in class. They claimed that president, Adam Urbanski backed out of this meeting last minute. News10NBC had the chance to speak with Urbanski, who says the schools just aren't equipped with the tools for successful learning.
