PETALING JAYA: Employees issued with work permission letters from the International Trade and Industry Ministry (Miti) have been warned not to abuse them for personal purposes. In a Twitter post on Monday (May 10), Miti reminded employees that legal action awaits those found guilty of abusing the permission letter. It stressed that the letter can only be used for the movement of employees of companies registered with the ministry. "It cannot be abused for personal reasons or movement of family/friends," said the @MITIMalaysia Twitter account. It added that the QR code provided on the letter, which can be scanned by the police, contains details of the registered companies along with the list of workers.
