Two boys were found about three hours after they had gone missing in the Jasper area, The Craven County Sheriff’s Department said Tuesday night. Sheriff Chip Hughes stated that two boys, age 10 and 12 had gone missing early in the evening. "We are conducting organized search operations," he said earlier. "We are searching in the Perfection community off NC 55 West." According to an EMS worker who was at the scene, search and rescue teams from Jasper, Dover, Vanceboro and Cove City are all on standby at the Jasper Township Number 9 Volunteer fire department. He said that, according to reports at the station, the two boys were last known to be on Lane Farm Road where, the source said, “they have wandered in the woods, and they don’t know where they are now.”
