Michael Dalton was born in the UK, Michael’s professional career began as a 10-year-old when he played the title role in the 1980 West End production of Oliver! His family immigrated to Australia in the 80s, Michael played various roles on television in shows such as Neighbours and The Henderson Kids and in 1990, Michael began his relationship with The Rocky Horror Show, performing as it toured Australia, New Zealand the UK and Europe.Michael subsequently toured with Julian Clary as his backup singer on his Australian/New Zealand/UK tours and also toured with Richard O’Brien and Disgracefully Yours to the Edinburgh Festival in 1997. Michael has worked steadily as a solo singer/performer internationally at a huge variety of clubs, venues and corporate events, including his own solo shows at Oscar Wilde’s (New York), Madame Jo Jo’s (London) and Code (Copenhagen). Michael appeared in the 1998 West End production of Naked Boys Singing.In the late 90s Michael created the much-loved character Dolly Diamond, performing across the UK and Australia. For the last three years Michael has worked as a television presenter on various shopping channels in the and his recent Australian television appearances include Gay News Week and Studio Q Channel 31.
