Cinco de Mayo, there comes a new mezcal ready to become your go-to this summer – Sombra Reposé Mezcal, a first-of-its-kind Bordeaux-aged reposado. Mezcal meets Rosé in this new bottle, where the mezcal is hand-made in Oaxaca and then aged exclusively in Bordeaux wine barrels. Reposé is a first-of-its-kind reposado made with Sombra’s Espadin mezcal. Sourced from the historic and renowned Château Léoville Poyferré, a second growth wine estate in St Julien, France, the barrels are filled and aged for up to six-months. The Limousin oak wine barrels soften the mezcal while enhancing its delicate botanical balance, bringing through a light Rosé color.
