The water discharge from the Stanley Reservoir in Mettur has been reduced from 2,100 cusecs to 1,500 cusecs. WRD officials confirm that 1,500 cusecs will continue to be released through the Cauvery river. Reduction in water flow approved by state government and WRD directive.
