When we think of psychotherapy, it’s easy to imagine a doctor’s office with a well-worn couch and a box of tissues on the table. It’s a cliché for good reason, as this is indeed what most counselling or therapy spaces look like — the nice ones might have an essential oil diffuser or an orchid on the table. But Cara Byrne’s office is a little different. Indeed, she calls it her ‘Ticknoffice’ because it is the Dublin Mountains. Cara is known as the Hiking Psychotherapist or @thehikepsych, and her method of helping people is a little different to most.
