Wicked Local In his free time, Dr. Linus Guillory can usually be found playing piano with his son, taking on home improvement projects or competing remotely with his brother to see who can make the better brisket or ribs. Recently, however, Guillory has taken on a new hobby: familiarizing himself with Brookline, where he’ll start as the new school superintendent come July. “You'll see me around some weekends, when my wife and I and my little guy will just jump in the truck and just sort of start getting ourselves acclimated to where schools are,” he said. Last month, the School Committee unanimously voted to appoint Guillory, a veteran educator, to lead the district. That role has been open since former Superintendent Andrew Bott stepped down in 2019, though Brookline has had two interim superintendents in the meantime.
