The plan includes all capital projects and programs, maintenance and operations activities, planning initiatives, and administrative functions. This plan contains 2,180 work items with a total value of $2.71 billion. The following projects are scheduled for Lincoln County for 2021. In Wiscasset, there are two projects for Wiscasset Municipal Airport. An aviation, runway/taxiway, reconstruction project is for safety and infrastructure improvements which include acquisition for snow removal equipment. Estimated project cost is $361,000. An airport general equipment purchase and aviation, runway taxi, and reconstruction project provides safety and infrastructure improvements. This work includes design, permitting and reconstruction of Runway 7-25 for Phase 3 obstruction removal. Estimated project cost is $4.12 million. Three highway construction/rehabilitation, rural highways, and intersection reconstruction projects. The first reconnects a U.S. Route 1 northbound left-turn lane on Old Bath Road. Estimated project cost is $760,000. The second constructs a U.S. Route 1 southbound left-turn lane and right-turn lane at Route 144 intersection. Estimated project cost is $699,000. The third constructs U.S. Route 1 left-turn and right-turn lanes at the Route 144 intersection. Estimated project cost is $540.000.
