McPherson building collapse leaves no one injured No one was reported to be injured after a major collapse occurred near Main Street in McPherson Tuesday. The McPherson Fire Department received an alarm at 9:37 a.m. for a possible fire in the 100 block of West Marlin Street. Once their crews arrived on the scene, they found that a structural collapse had occurred. One of the buildings on Main Street collapsed into an adjacent building in the rear. “Substantial damage was done to the building in the rear, as well as the building on Main Street,” said fire chief TJ Wyssmann. The crews worked to secure the utilities that were impacted, including the electrical, gas and water systems, that sparked a small fire in the back alley.
