The Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority (MCCAA) is celebrating its 10th anniversary this month. It is an occasion for the authority to look back proudly at its many milestones over the past and to focus on the years to come. To mark the anniversary, an international digital conference was held last week to discuss the needs and expectations of tomorrow’s consumers, with a view to enabling the MCCAA to proactively shape market regulation. The keynote speakers at the conference included European Commissioner for Justice, Didier Reynders, who thanked the MCCAA for its contribution at EU level during the pandemic, particularly by identifying unsafe products on the market and taking the necessary action.
