The year 2020 was a revolutionary test for the Belarusian media. Never before had the media sector faced so many challenges at once: the extrajudicial blocking of dozens of websites, arrests of journalists and editors, and the departure of some editorial offices abroad. All this took place against the backdrop of shrinking advertising budgets due to the coronavirus. In Nasha Niva the situation was somewhat peculiar. It temporarily lost its domain back in June. This was shocking, but it helped to develop response mechanisms, which had to be applied at the end of August after the repeated forced relocation to the mirror domain.
