March 26 violence in Dhaka: 3 Hefajat leaders remanded

Three leaders of Hefajat-e-Islam were placed on remand for different terms in two cases filed with Paltan Police Station over last month's violence in Dhaka.
Mufti Habibullah Mahmud Quasemi, an executive member of now defunct Hefajat's central committee; and Mufti Faisal Mahmud Habibi, former joint secretary general of Hefajat's Dhaka city unit, were placed on three-day remand each in the case.
Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Jashim passed the order after Md Kamrul Hasan Talukder, an inspector of Detective Branch of Police and also the investigation officer of the case, produced the duo before his court with a 10-day remand for each in the case.
