A 65-year-old man who died in boat crash Monday on Bartlett Lake was identified Tuesday as Matthew Burlington, according to Maricopa County Sheriff's Office. Burlington was traveling north, against the traffic pattern, in a bass boat shortly before 10:45 a.m. Monday on the west side of the lake north of Rattlesnake Cove, the sheriff's office said in a news release. A second bass boat with two men, ages 61 and 72, traveled south along side a hazard buoy line that warns against a submerged reef. Burlington's boat suddenly steered into the path of the second boat, which was unable to avoid Burlington's boat and ramped over it, according to the sheriff's office. All three men were thrown into the water.
