Officers investigating the incident are appealing for witnesses to come forward. The incident occurred outside Munchies in Orchard Plaza at around 9.30pm on Friday, April 30. The victim, a man aged in his 30s, was reportedly approached by a group of men and one of them punched him to the face. He suffered a fracture to his eye socket as a result of the assault. The offender is described as white and was wearing a black Puffa-style jacket, black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers. Detective constable Jo Poultney, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We are continuing to investigate this assault and from our enquiries we believe there were a number of people in the area at the time of the incident.
