Man Killed In Mountain Crash Near Banning ID'd As Ohio Resident

BANNING, CA — A man killed in a state Route 243 Mother's Day crash has been identified by the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Bureau.
Charles Shacklock, 31, of Lowellville, Ohio, died at Sunday's crash scene at 19401 State Route 243 in Banning, according to the coroner.
According to an obituary published by MyValleyTributes.com, Shacklock was a father of three who "loved to spend time with his children and share stories with friends and family."

The obituary identified him as a New Springfield, Ohio, resident.
The California Highway Patrol initially said a silver SUV and a black SUV were involved in the fatal head-on collision in the San Jacinto Mountains around 2:30 p.m.
