A Marietta man with an “extensive criminal history” received a total of 53 months in prison for four separate cases Tuesday afternoon. Matthew Jones, 36, of 806 Front St., was sentenced to 30 months in prison for possession of a deadly weapon while under detention, a third-degree felony; to run consecutively with 11 months in prison for attempted robbery, a fourth-degree felony; to run consecutively with 12 months for escape, a third-degree misdemeanor; which will run concurrently with 12 months for failure to appear as required by recognizance, a fourth-degree felony.
