- ADVERTISEMENT - Officers responded to Olive Avenue near Atlas Way and found the victim with injuries to his upper body at around 12:50 a.m., police said. The Long Beach Fire Department transported the victim to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries, police said. According to police, an argument between the two men escalated and led one to stab the other. Police said the suspect and victim know each other. The suspect, David Palmer, 62, of Long Beach was booked on suspicion of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and mayhem, police said. He is being held at the Long Beach Jail on $1 million bail, police said.
