Spruce Middle School student Jenna Farmer closes the door on erasers collected by the 'Eraser Project,' a monument to Holocaust victims.

Students in Mariah Sergio’s then-sixth grade class were inspired by the Paper Clip Project, a similar monument created by middle school students in Tennessee. They told Sergio they wanted to create a memorial of their own.
