Lucknow has become noisier that ever before. This was revealed in Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (IITR) noise monitoring report. Indiranagar had the highest daytime noise level, averaging 73.5 decibels (dB(A)), followed by Gomti Nagar (72.1 dB(A)), Vikas Nagar (68.8 dB(A)), and Aliganj (61.8 dB(A)). At night, Gomti Nagar registered the highest noise levels at 64.2 dB(A), followed by Aliganj (57.3 dB(A)), Vikas Nagar (55.7 dB(A)), and Indira Nagar (61.5 dB(A)).
