By Don Landry Congratulations to Keith Jones on his incredible career as the horse race announcer at Parx Racetrack in Bensalem, as he plans to retire at the end of December. His career at the racetrack spanned 34 years as he readily admits to announcing between 60,000 to 70,000 races. That, my friends, is a lot of names to memorize in the short span of time between races and it is not an occupation for anybody showing signs of Alzheimer’s disease. There was no better feeling than holding a winning ticket on a horse crossing the finish line where Keith would say, "Hello," because you knew that you were in for a big payoff because he only said that when the winning horse was at least 20-1.
