'Slow' hiring climate expected

While Ontario begins to reopen later this week, Brockville area employers are expecting a “slow” hiring climate, according to the staffing firm Manpower.
The latest ManpowerGroup Employment Outlook Survey reveals that eight per cent of local employers plan to hire for the coming third quarter, while four per cent anticipate cutbacks.

“Another 84 per cent of employers plan to maintain their current staffing levels in the upcoming quarter, while the remaining four per cent of employers are unsure of their hiring intentions,” added Veronica Hariski, of Manpower’s Ottawa office, in a statement.
