Upper Trafalgar St will again be the place to be for downtown revellers wishing to bring the curtain down on the year, with the usual anticipation for the future likely to mix with reflections of an extraordinary year. ”We’re not over just yet and our thoughts are with the northern hemisphere – it’s looking pretty grim over there – so we have to stay vigilant but I think what’s great here is we can actually celebrate a year that will be in everyone’s memory for a while,” Nelson City Council team leader events Axel de Maupeou said.
