Local Authors Participating in Outdoor Storytime in Dartmouth Allison Carreiro was a senior at Dartmouth High School when she had to create a book for Mrs. Guilbeault’s early education class. “It had to be about a life lesson,” Carreiro said. “My mom actually came up with the idea to write about bedtime since my brother Nick hated it as a child. So, I wrote about the importance of a good night’s sleep.” Too Tired Tommy earned Carreiro an A+ on her class project back in 2015 and provided a foundation for her first published book. She got to realize that dream in December of 2020.
