LAS VEGAS, Nev. — The University of New Mexico’s baseball team forced 11 innings in Las Vegas, Nev., but was edged out by UNLV (5-1, 5-1), dropping the game 1-0. Junior Tristin Lively led the Lobos (4-6, 3-3) on the mound, pitching 8.0 innings, tallying a career-high 11 strikeouts, and allowing only four hits in the game. The junior has now pitched a total of 20.0 innings, allowing only 11 hits, and has lowered his ERA to 0.90 this season. Sophomore Terrell Hudson entered the game in the ninth inning, striking out two in 2.0 innings. Sophomores Cole Posey and Mack Chambers both tallied two hits, and both Posey and freshman Chase Weissenborn finished the game with a double each.
