Although he is from less than an hour away in East Palo Alto, Jeremiah Earby didn’t visit Berkeley as a child, nor did he frequent Cal games. However, after developing as a football player, and deciding to double down on being a defensive back rather than a wide receiver at the collegiate level, he realized Cal was the far-and-away best fit for him, academically and athletically. As a sophomore, Earby is one of Cal’s most promising young stars, and he is ambitious and excited about his goals for the future on and off the field.
