Updated: 8:53 PM EDT July 17, 2021 A few isolated showers and thunderstorms have been developing this evening. The conditions in the atmosphere is favorable for cold air funnels to form. These funnels usually develop beneath a shower or thunderstorm, when there is cooler or colder air aloft. The funnels are usually harmless and rarely touch the ground. If they do touch the ground, they are normally weak and cause wind gusts around or over 50 mph. If you do see a funnel cloud, move indoors.
