Linda Debassige elected as Anishinabek Nation grand council

Linda Debassige is the new grand council chief of the Anishinabek Nation. In a traditional standup election with the chiefs-in-assembly, she won a 28-9 vote against Reg Niganobe, the outgoing grand chief.
