LG’s Barista Robot Certified by Korea Coffee Association Posted on SEOUL, Dec. 21 (Korea Bizwire) — LG Electronics Inc. said Sunday its barista robot acquired ‘Robot Brewing Master’ certification from the Korea Coffee Association. The Brewing Master Certification Program certifies professionals for brewing high-quality coffee based on the knowledge of various tools and methods used for coffee-making. The Korea Coffee Association has issued the certification upon acknowledgment that the LG CLOi BaristaBot can produce the taste and quality of a coffee equivalent to that brewed by humans with Brewing Master certification. LG explained that the certification was made possible by a series of tests to produce high-quality coffee by learning about the types of beans, levels of grinding, water temperature and amount, time spent on extraction, and other requirements in making a pour-over coffee.
