Support professionals need McNesby Act supports
Years ago, I found my calling by working to support people with intellectual disabilities. I work as a Direct Support Professional and there are thousands like me in Delaware who work in group homes and the day programs. We take care of our client’s personal needs, take them to the store and doctor’s appointments, feed and bathe them. Most of us work in this field because it fills us with so much joy, knowing the difference that we make in their lives.
