Letter: Friends from Worcester, friends for a lifetime Telegram & Gazette This month triggered me to reminisce about my experience growing up with Black Americans. I remember a Black kid named Teddy from the orphanage in Boston who I greatly admired. Moving to Worcester I attended Commerce High School. I remember Jimmie Gray and Willie Salmon who signed my yearbook. Bunny Price and Phil Price, a teammate on the baseball team, are fondly remembered. A young girl named Catherine Gomes was also pictured in the yearbook. Ironically her son, Bruce, ended up marrying my daughter, Lynn. What a small world. My experiences with these individuals greatly enhanced my life and will be remembered for all time.
